• As a Senior Backend Engineer - Platform, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our AI-driven customer engagement solutions. You will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining the robust backend infrastructure that powers our sophisticated platform. • Your primary focus will be on building and enhancing the core data pipelines and services that ingest, process, and serve vast amounts of customer interaction data. This involves working with complex data structures, ensuring data integrity, and optimizing performance for real-time and batch processing scenarios. You will be a key contributor to the scalability and reliability of our platform, ensuring it can handle the increasing demands of our growing client base.
• Responsibilities will include designing and implementing scalable backend services and APIs that support our data ingestion, processing, and analytics capabilities. You will be responsible for developing and optimizing data pipelines using a variety of ETL/ELT tools and techniques, ensuring efficient and reliable data movement from diverse sources into our data warehouse.
• You will also be involved in designing and implementing robust data models within our data warehousing solutions, such as Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery, focusing on creating efficient schemas, fact tables, and dimension tables that facilitate complex analytical queries.
• A significant part of your role will involve ensuring the seamless integration of data from various distributed sources through API-based integrations and real-time data streaming technologies like Apache Kafka.
• You will leverage your strong programming skills, particularly in Python or Java, to build custom data processing logic, handle intricate data transformations, and develop efficient algorithms.
• Performance tuning and optimization will be a critical aspect of your work, including writing advanced SQL queries, optimizing database performance, and ensuring the overall efficiency of our data infrastructure.
• You will collaborate closely with data scientists, product managers, and other engineering teams to understand data requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and deliver high-quality, scalable software.

🎯 Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Python or Java for backend development, data pipeline construction, and complex data transformations.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing scalable APIs and integrating with external data sources.
• Deep understanding of data warehousing concepts, including star/snowflake schemas, fact/dimension tables, and data normalization/denormalization techniques.
• Advanced SQL skills for complex querying, performance tuning, and database optimization.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-based data warehousing platforms such as Snowflake, Amazon Redshift, or Google BigQuery.
• Expertise in ETL/ELT processes and tools like Apache Airflow, dbt, Informatica, or Talend.
• Familiarity with real-time data integration tools and technologies such as Apache Kafka, Apache Spark, or AWS Glue.
