• • As a Senior Backend Engineer specializing in Real-Time Bidding (RTB) at Trellis, you will be at the forefront of revolutionizing the insurance industry by enhancing our cutting-edge bidding capabilities. This pivotal role offers a unique opportunity to blend sophisticated backend engineering with practical machine learning expertise, directly shaping the architecture and performance of our core RTB system. You will be instrumental in designing, developing, and scaling the backend infrastructure, encompassing seamless service integrations, robust database solutions, and advanced MLOps components, all while contributing to the refinement of the machine learning models that drive our bidding engine.
• • Your mission will involve close collaboration with business stakeholders and fellow engineers to translate complex requirements into impactful, scalable solutions. You will be responsible for integrating various services and product features with our data infrastructure, including managed SQL databases (Cloud SQL) and high-performance in-memory data stores (Redis), as well as leveraging messaging queues like Google Cloud Pub/Sub for asynchronous communication and event-driven architectures.
• • A significant aspect of your role will be contributing to the development and enhancement of our MLOps tools. This includes building and optimizing large-scale data processing pipelines essential for feature extraction and data transformation, utilizing powerful GCP services such as BigQuery for data warehousing and Dataflow for stream and batch processing. Your work will directly impact the quality and relevance of the data used to train and evaluate our machine learning models.
• • You will actively participate in the end-to-end machine learning lifecycle, from data preprocessing and feature engineering to model training, rigorous evaluation, seamless deployment, and continuous monitoring on Google Cloud's Vertex AI platform. The primary objective is to continuously improve the performance and efficiency of our bidding engine through data-driven insights and model advancements.
