- • Senior Backend Engineer role focused on building and maintaining the core backend systems for Openly’s insurance platform, enabling scalable, secure, and customer-centric digital experiences.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and implementing APIs, integrating with external services (payments, documents, claims, data providers), improving internal tooling, mentoring team members, and contributing to architectural decisions around microservices, deployment, and infrastructure.
- • Openly is a rapidly growing insurtech company rebuilding insurance from the ground up, leveraging cutting-edge data and technology to deliver customizable, competitive coverage and superior customer experiences across technology, product, sales, service, and more.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in Go and cloud-native systems, lead technical initiatives, influence platform architecture, and grow as a trusted technical leader while working on impactful systems that directly protect customers’ homes and assets.
🎯 Requirements
- • At least 4 years of professional/production experience developing backend web-stack applications.
- • Professional experience leveraging Go in prior roles (code challenge in Go required during interview process).
- • Sustained track record of creating improvements in business-critical systems around stability, performance, and scalability.
- • Demonstrated ability to deliver complete systems from start to finish with minimal supervision.
- • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
