- • Join Inmar Intelligence, Inc. as a Senior Backend Java Engineer and become a pivotal member of our Core Platform team, driving the development of robust, scalable, and enterprise-grade backend systems.
- • This role is specifically focused on backend development, emphasizing your expertise in building sophisticated services within a modern, cloud-native architecture, rather than full-stack responsibilities.
- • You will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining the core services that power Inmar's innovative solutions, ensuring high performance, reliability, and security.
- • Leverage your deep experience in Java enterprise development to craft elegant and efficient code, adhering to best practices and architectural standards.
- • Actively participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from initial design and coding to testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.
- • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes, methodologies, and tooling, fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence.
- • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, QA engineers, and DevOps/infrastructure specialists, to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- • Engage actively in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, ensuring alignment with team goals and project timelines.
- • Take ownership of your work, demonstrating a strong accountability mindset for delivering reliable and maintainable systems that meet business objectives.
- • Work within a large, established development organization, contributing to and learning from a team of experienced engineers.
- • You will be expected to understand production systems at scale, identifying potential bottlenecks and implementing solutions to ensure optimal performance and availability.
- • Embrace and utilize modern AI tools, such as GitHub Copilot or similar, to enhance your productivity and code quality, while rigorously upholding standards for code correctness, security, and system resilience.
- • Design and implement RESTful APIs using JAX-RS, ensuring seamless integration with other services and applications.
- • Develop and maintain complex Maven multi-module project structures, managing dependencies and build processes effectively.
- • Implement and optimize enterprise persistence patterns using Hibernate ORM (JPA), ensuring efficient data management and retrieval.
- • Work with Apache Kafka for asynchronous messaging, including experience with Avro serialization for data interchange.
- • Develop and maintain robust backend services using Java 21 and Jakarta EE 10, deployed on the WildFly 32 application server.
- • Gain deep familiarity with our large enterprise codebases, often exceeding 100,000 lines of code, and contribute to their evolution.
- • Contribute to the development and maintenance of Docker containers, applying best practices for multi-stage builds and optimization.
- • Develop and maintain Jenkins pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes, enhancing our CI/CD capabilities.
- • Work with Kubernetes for container orchestration, ensuring scalable and resilient deployment of our services.
- • Contribute to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Helm and Terraform, enabling reproducible and manageable infrastructure.
- • Implement and utilize monitoring and logging systems, such as the ELK stack, Prometheus, and Grafana, to ensure system health and performance.
- • Utilize New Relic or similar Application Performance Monitoring (APM) tools to diagnose and resolve performance issues.
- • Foster a strong understanding of system observability, proactively monitoring systems and implementing solutions to ensure high availability and reliability in production environments.
- • Drive technical discussions and contribute to architectural decisions, particularly in the backend domain.
- • Mentor junior engineers and share your expertise to elevate the team's overall technical capabilities.
- • Champion best practices in software development, code reviews, and testing methodologies.
- • Proactively identify and address technical debt, ensuring the long-term maintainability and scalability of our platform.
- • Contribute to a culture of continuous learning and improvement, staying abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends.
- • Ensure all developed solutions meet stringent security requirements and compliance standards.
- • Play a key role in ensuring the stability and performance of critical backend services that underpin Inmar's business operations.
- • You will be a key contributor to the evolution of our core platform, impacting the efficiency and effectiveness of our clients' operations.
