• As a Senior Backend Software Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and deploying robust, scalable backend platform systems that form the backbone of our AI teammate. You will tackle complex technical challenges, contributing directly to the core product that empowers startups to scale effectively without losing their essence.
• A significant part of your role will involve developing sophisticated LLM agents. These agents will be designed to integrate seamlessly with large and diverse datasets, enabling our AI to understand and contextualize information across an organization. You will be at the forefront of applying advanced AI techniques to solve real-world business problems, transforming how companies manage knowledge and maintain alignment.
• You will have the opportunity to take full ownership of critical features and systems within a fast-paced, early-stage startup environment. • Your responsibilities will span the entire software development lifecycle, from conceptualization and design to implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance. You will be expected to write clean, efficient, and well-documented code, adhering to best practices in software engineering.
• You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers, to define product roadmaps and deliver exceptional user experiences. Effective communication and teamwork will be essential as we work together to achieve our ambitious goals.
• Contribute to building and scaling our cloud infrastructure, primarily on AWS, ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance of our backend services.
• Design and implement robust APIs that enable seamless communication between our various services and with external partners.
• Work with and optimize SQL databases, ensuring data integrity and efficient retrieval for our AI models and platform features.
• Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers and ensuring the overall quality and maintainability of our codebase.
• Mentor junior engineers, sharing your expertise and fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning within the team.
• Proactively identify and address technical debt, performance bottlenecks, and potential scalability issues to ensure the long-term health of our platform.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in backend technologies, AI, and LLMs, and advocate for the adoption of relevant innovations to enhance our product and development processes.

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of strong backend and platform engineering experience, with a proven track record of building and shipping scalable systems.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, learn quickly, and move at a startup pace, embracing challenges and adapting to evolving requirements.
• Proficiency in Python, experience with AWS cloud services, and a solid understanding of SQL databases and API development.
• Experience working with Large Language Models (LLMs), agentic frameworks, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) techniques is a significant plus.
