📋 Description

• As a Senior Backend Software Engineer at Archy Inc., you will play a pivotal role in transforming dental practice management through a cutting-edge SaaS platform, ensuring that dental professionals can focus on patient care without being hindered by outdated or inefficient systems.
• You will take full ownership of major backend features from conception to production, driving reliability, scalability, and performance in a high-impact environment where your work directly improves the daily operations of dental clinics across LATAM and beyond.
• Your day-to-day responsibilities will include leading the end-to-end delivery of significant product updates, managing release lifecycles to ensure seamless deployment and sustained peak performance in production environments.
• You will proactively integrate AI tools like Claude into your development workflow to accelerate boilerplate code and routine tasks, while maintaining full architectural ownership and ensuring code quality, security, and long-term maintainability.
• Collaboration with product and frontend teams will be central to your role, as you work to align backend capabilities with user-facing features in React/TypeScript, enabling smooth, intuitive experiences for dental practitioners and their staff.
• You will actively participate in rigorous code reviews, offering and receiving constructive feedback to elevate team standards, foster knowledge sharing, and continuously improve code quality across the engineering team.
• You will identify and implement process improvements to boost team efficiency, contributing to a culture of continuous optimization and engineering excellence.
• You will estimate, plan, and execute development efforts with precision, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality features that meet both technical and business objectives.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
• 6+ years of professional experience as a backend engineer, with a proven track record of writing clean, maintainable, and high-quality code.
• Hands-on expertise with Java Spring Boot or comparable backend frameworks, including deep understanding of its ecosystem, performance tuning, and production deployment practices.
• Demonstrated experience owning and successfully releasing high-traffic features or leading major platform migrations with minimal disruption.
• Proficiency in leveraging AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude) as a productivity enhancer, while maintaining rigorous standards for code integrity, security, and architectural soundness.
• Strong commitment to testing, observability, and performance optimization to ensure platform stability and reliability for end users.
• Customer-centric mindset, with empathy for the operational challenges faced by dental practices and a drive to build software that genuinely supports their workflows.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with a receptive attitude toward feedback and a respect for diverse perspectives within a multidisciplinary team.
