📋 Description

• As a Senior Backend Software Engineer at Twelve Labs, you will build the server-side infrastructure powering the company’s new agentic application layer, focusing on video processing workflows and scalable backend systems.
• You will design and build backend services for video ingestion, transcoding, 4K export, metadata extraction, and timeline operations, while architecting high-availability systems for enterprise-grade video workloads on AWS and GCP.
• You will own performance and reliability of distributed video processing pipelines, optimize APIs for real-time and async workflows, and collaborate closely with frontend engineers on API design and data models.
• Twelve Labs is a well-funded AI startup pioneering multimodal foundation models for video understanding, backed by top-tier investors and operating globally with headquarters in San Francisco and a presence in Seoul.
• In this role, you will gain deep expertise in scalable media infrastructure, cloud-native video processing, and AI-integrated backend systems, contributing to production-ready platforms that push the boundaries of video-language modeling.
