- • The Senior Benefits QA & Data Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, functionality, and reliability of benefits administration systems before client delivery, directly impacting client satisfaction and operational excellence at Brown & Brown Insurance.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting internal QA testing of benefits administration sites to validate data accuracy, plan configuration, eligibility rules, and system functionality; supporting external client UAT by preparing test scenarios, guiding clients, documenting issues, and coordinating defect resolution; auditing and uploading data for new or existing client implementations; assisting junior teammates with low-to-moderate complexity site development; utilizing project management tools to track implementations; collaborating with senior staff on EDI/file integration projects for new sites and renewals; performing final testing and auditing of configurations for moderate complexity software; taking ownership of QA on moderate builds; providing training and mentorship to less senior team members; participating in client meetings as needed; building strong relationships with clients, vendors, and carriers to improve retention; promoting teamwork, knowledge sharing, and a positive department culture; driving performance standards individually and through teammates; assisting in SOP development and process improvement; engaging in ongoing training to stay current on industry trends, legislation, coverages, and technology; and pursuing personal and professional development.

- • In this role, the individual will deepen expertise in benefits administration platforms (e.g., Navigator, PlanSource), strengthen QA and data validation skills, develop leadership and mentorship capabilities, gain exposure to end-to-end implementation lifecycles, and contribute to process standardization and improvement—positioning them for advancement into senior QA, implementation lead, or benefits systems analyst roles.
🎯 Requirements
- • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
- • 3-6 years of applicable software implementation experience
- • Expert proficiency in Excel and intermediate knowledge of benefits administration software (e.g., Navigator, PlanSource)
- • Strong attention to detail, ability to meet strict deadlines, and exceptional telephone and problem-solving demeanor
- • Ability to maintain confidentiality and travel for work if requested (less than 5% of the time)
