- • Senior Business Development Executive responsible for originating, developing, and closing complex energy efficiency, renewable energy, and advanced technology solutions across public sector markets.
- • Day-to-day activities include identifying and qualifying opportunities, developing market and account plans, building advisory relationships with public sector stakeholders, leading proposal development, delivering presentations, negotiating contracts, managing CRM pipeline, and supporting transition to project execution teams.
- • Ameresco, Inc. is a leading energy solutions provider dedicated to helping customers reduce costs, enhance resilience, and decarbonize to net zero, serving public sector and government entities, K-12 schools, higher education, utilities, and healthcare customers across the U.S., Canada, the U.K., and Europe.
- • The role offers opportunity to develop expertise in complex public sector sales, influence large-scale sustainability initiatives, master deal structuring and negotiation, and grow as a trusted advisor to executive leadership while contributing to Ameresco’s mission in the global energy transition.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in sustainability, engineering, economics, finance, environmental science or business
- • Minimum 8 years progressive local experience marketing construction services, consulting services, energy efficiency, or renewable technology
- • Proven experience influencing and leading sales and project development teams in the Southern US to meet company and business goals
- • Proven successful business development experience cultivating, developing, and securing customers and projects in South or Southwestern US
- • Superior financial planning, budgeting, organizational and resource management abilities
- • Excellent verbal, written, technical, and computer communication and presentation skills required
