- • As a Payments Partnership Manager at Adyen in Tokyo, you will advance the company’s strategy and agenda with key payment partners in Japan, including Visa, Mastercard, JCB, PayPay, and FeliCa, playing a pivotal role in strengthening Adyen’s market position and driving growth.
- • You will act as the primary point of contact for payment partners, managing all aspects of partnerships—from prioritizing focus areas and evaluating new initiatives to ongoing relationship management—while collaborating internally with Product, Account Management, Finance, Compliance, Engineering, and Risk teams to improve core payment processes.
- • Adyen is a global financial technology platform providing unified payments, data, and financial solutions to industry leaders like Meta, Uber, H&M, and Microsoft, fostering an environment where ambitious individuals solve complex technical challenges at scale through teamwork and innovation.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in payment products and partnership strategy, develop leadership in cross-functional coordination, and gain experience negotiating commercial terms and driving go-to-market initiatives that directly impact Adyen’s growth in Japan.
🎯 Requirements
- • 4+ years of experience at Japanese payments companies or financial institutions (e.g., card networks, fintechs, acquirers, PSPs)
- • Native or fluent Japanese with business-level English proficiency
- • Strong understanding of payment products and ability to support Product teams in informed decision-making
- • Proven ability to build and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders across functions and seniority levels
- • Experience leading and coordinating escalations involving business-critical processes
- • Comfortable working in a global, multicultural environment
