- • As a Senior Business Development Manager, you will be instrumental in expanding our corporate client base within the DACH market. You will engage with high-potential clients, both virtually and through face-to-face interactions, leveraging your expertise to identify needs, present compelling solutions, and ultimately close significant deals. Your role will involve managing the full sales cycle, from initial engagement to successful contract finalization, with a strong focus on achieving and exceeding ambitious business goals. You will be responsible for accurately forecasting your sales pipeline, ensuring robust deal management, and cultivating deep insights into the evolving needs of our target corporate customers. This understanding will be crucial in collaborating with our product team to tailor and enhance Busuu's value proposition for the DACH market.
- • Key responsibilities will include:
- • **Driving Revenue Growth:** Exceeding ambitious sales targets for the DACH region by identifying, pursuing, and closing new business opportunities with enterprise-level clients.
- • **Pipeline Management & Forecasting:** Developing and nurturing a robust sales pipeline, accurately forecasting deal progression, and managing all stages of the sales cycle with meticulous attention to detail.
- • **Client Engagement & Relationship Building:** Conducting high-impact meetings, presentations, and demonstrations for prospective clients, building strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
- • **Market Intelligence & Strategy:** Developing a deep understanding of the corporate language learning landscape in the DACH region, identifying emerging trends, and maintaining a keen awareness of the competitive environment to inform sales strategies.
- • **Product Adaptation & Feedback:** Collaborating closely with the Product team to translate client needs and market insights into actionable feedback, contributing to the continuous improvement and adaptation of Busuu's offerings.
- • **Sales Process Excellence:** Leveraging established sales methodologies and best practices to ensure efficient and effective engagement with prospects and clients.
- • **Team Mentorship & Growth:** Contributing to the development of more junior sales team members through coaching and sharing best practices, fostering a collaborative and high-performance sales culture.
- • **Brand Representation:** Acting as a knowledgeable and professional representative of Busuu at local trade fairs, conferences, and industry events, enhancing brand visibility and generating leads.
- • **Cross-functional Collaboration:** Working effectively with internal teams, including Sales Development Representatives (SDRs), Marketing, and Product, to ensure a seamless customer journey and successful deal closure.
- • **Strategic Account Planning:** Developing and executing strategic account plans for key target organizations to maximize revenue potential and build long-term partnerships.

🎯 Requirements
- • Fluency in both German and English languages is essential for effective communication with clients and internal stakeholders in the DACH region.
- • Extensive experience in B2B SaaS sales, with a proven track record of successfully closing deals, particularly those with a contract value exceeding €200k.
- • Exceptional presentation and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex value propositions clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.
- • Demonstrated ability to build and manage a sales pipeline, creating qualified opportunities through various channels and effectively engaging with key decision-makers.
- • Strong knowledge of the corporate Learning & Development (L&D) landscape within the DACH region, understanding the challenges and needs of HR and L&D professionals.
