- • Drive and manage a profitable and growing book of business by establishing and nurturing collaborative relationships with agencies and producers. This involves actively selling and servicing a producer force capable of generating and controlling high-quality business, while meticulously monitoring their production and overall quality.
- • Spearhead the profitable sale of ICW Group's insurance products, focusing on increasing sales of existing offerings and successfully introducing and promoting new products as they are developed. Your role will be crucial in developing the assigned producer group to enhance both the quality and quantity of business secured.
- • Act as the primary point of contact and company representative for both existing and prospective producers, ensuring clear communication and strong partnerships. Stay keenly aware of industry changes, including WCIRB/NCCI rulings, form updates, and coverage modifications, to provide informed guidance and maintain a competitive edge.
- • Proactively prospect and prequalify new producers to assess their suitability for a working relationship, appointing high-quality partners and setting clear production expectations for each agency.
- • Maintain an in-depth understanding of the assigned geographic territory, including production sources, competitor activities, and relevant economic and demographic factors. This knowledge will inform strategic decisions and business development efforts.
- • Direct activities related to industry affairs and trade show events, including exhibiting, participating in special events, and diligently following up on generated leads to convert them into business opportunities.
- • Conduct comprehensive marketing research to identify potential opportunities for management, product enhancements, new distribution channels, and promising new geographic markets with significant growth potential.
- • Support strategic programs designed to promote new products, reposition existing offerings, and integrate diverse corporate philosophies to align with and support overall marketing and underwriting objectives.
- • Utilize high-level underwriting authority to effectively price the company's products, ensuring profitability and competitiveness. This includes accepting or rejecting complex risks after a thorough evaluation of all risk characteristics such as operations, financials, management, employees, and prior experience, comparing them against industry averages and pricing for profit within established company guidelines.
- • Provide quotes for complex pricing products like retro and deductible plans, demonstrating a solid understanding of their various components and effectively communicating these plans in detail during customer presentations.
- • Deliver superior customer service through collaborative relationships, offering production support via producer visitations and participation in underwriting and production presentations. Provide personalized assistance to agents and insureds through regular visits to their offices and other external locations.
- • Leverage company technology to ensure availability to customers when needed, and effectively communicate decisions and promptly resolve agent and customer concerns. Present Agency Management solutions to agency principals and the ICW management team, fostering strong partnerships and driving mutual success.
- • While this role does not have direct reports, there is an expectation to mentor and/or train junior team members, contributing to the overall development and growth of the underwriting team.
