- • Collaborate with clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and design high-quality Epic reporting solutions that support patient care and operational decision-making.
- • Design, develop, and maintain custom reports within Epic’s reporting ecosystem using tools such as SlicerDicer, Reporting Workbench, and Radar Dashboards, ensuring data accuracy and reliability.
- • Integrate Epic reporting solutions with other enterprise data systems including Clarity, Caboodle, SAP/Crystal, and Business Objects to deliver comprehensive analytics.
- • Troubleshoot and resolve reporting functionality and data integrity issues in collaboration with Epic analysts and end users.
- • Document technical specifications, data mappings, and report configurations in the enterprise data catalog to ensure governance and audit readiness.
- • Provide training and ongoing support to end users on interpreting and utilizing Epic reports and dashboards to drive data-informed actions.
- • Participate in Epic system upgrades and enhancements, ensuring seamless transition and minimal disruption to reporting workflows.
- • Develop and oversee the creation of end-user education materials and strategies to improve adoption and proficiency across hospital departments.
- • Perform ad hoc analysis for hospital divisions and provide expert consultation on data domains and reporting capabilities.
- • Ensure all reporting solutions comply with regulatory standards including HIPAA and organizational policies.
- • Mentor junior team members in technical skills, troubleshooting, departmental processes, and professional conduct.
- • Maintain and pursue Epic certifications, including Cogito Administration and other relevant modules, to stay current with platform advancements.
- • Utilize Power BI and other data visualization tools to create dashboards that translate complex clinical and operational data into actionable insights.
- • Plan and execute testing plans for new and modified reports, ensuring functionality and data integrity prior to deployment.
- • Serve as project manager for complex analytics initiatives, including defining timelines, prioritizing tasks, and communicating status accurately and timely.
- • Analyze business intelligence requests to align with existing tools and processes, and investigate new tools where appropriate to improve efficiency.
- • Escalate unresolved technical issues with urgency and coordinate communication between internal and external stakeholders on assigned tasks.
- • Be personally accountable for project commitments and contribute to the CCHMC information glossary using governed data definitions.
- • Continually develop professional skills and assist in the development of others through code reviews, knowledge sharing, and process improvement.
- • Follow build, configuration, and release management processes and meet documentation standards as defined by Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- • 5+ years of work experience in a related job discipline
- • Proven experience in report development within Epic’s reporting environment, including familiarity with Clarity or Caboodle

- • Annualized pay range of $91,520.00 – $116,688.00
