- • As a Senior Business Intelligence/Data Engineer at Humana Inc., you will play a pivotal role in transforming how the organization understands and optimizes member interactions by building scalable, cloud-based reporting solutions that power data-driven decision-making across contact centers and member engagement platforms. Your work will directly impact member and associate experiences by turning complex IVR data into actionable insights that inform strategic initiatives in healthcare delivery and operational efficiency.
- • Day to day, you will design, develop, and maintain complex Interactive Voice Response (IVR) reporting solutions and dashboards using Google BigQuery and Looker Studio (formerly Data Studio), ensuring data accuracy, performance, and scalability; collaborate with engineering, analytics, and business stakeholders to migrate IVR data from on-premises systems to Google Cloud Platform, integrate it with enterprise data sources, and establish reliable data pipelines using tools like Cloud Data Fusion, Cloud Dataflow, or Apache Beam; continuously optimize report performance and reliability by identifying bottlenecks, refining SQL queries, and implementing best practices for data modeling and visualization; troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to IVR data ingestion, transformation, and reporting, while maintaining rigorous data quality standards and documenting processes for knowledge sharing and compliance.
- • You will be part of the Consumer Digital Data Science and Analytics team, a mission-driven group focused on extracting valuable insights from member interactions across digital, IVR, and related channels to inform adoption and containment strategies, improve customer experience, and support Humana’s broader goal of putting health first through innovative, data-enabled healthcare solutions.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in cloud-based analytics and healthcare data systems, gain hands-on experience with end-to-end data pipeline modernization in a regulated industry, and develop leadership capabilities by influencing cross-functional initiatives that shape how Humana leverages data to improve member outcomes, positioning you for advancement into senior technical or architectural roles within the organization’s growing data and analytics practice.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of experience in business intelligence engineering, with a specific focus on IVR channel data and Google Cloud Platform technologies
- • Proven knowledge of Google BigQuery, Looker Studio (Data Studio), and core Google Cloud Platform services
- • Demonstrated experience developing data pipelines using tools such as Cloud Data Fusion, Cloud Dataflow, or Apache Beam
- • Familiarity with IVR channel technology, data structures, and telecommunications-based data sources
- • Certification in Google Cloud Platform (e.g., Professional Data Engineer) or equivalent validated expertise
