Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of incentive-compensation systems at a Fortune 500 market leader. As Senior Business Systems Analyst you will serve as the single point of accountability for the Xactly and Incent platforms that power variable-pay programs for 36,000 Ferguson associates across 1,700 locations. Your analysis, documentation, and testing will directly influence how sales, service, and operations teams are rewarded, driving behaviors that generate more than $20 billion in annual revenue.
- • Lead rigorous testing and validation cycles for every release, patch, and configuration change. You will design and execute functional, regression, integration, and UAT test suites that verify incentive-plan calculations, quota assignments, crediting rules, and commission outputs. By catching defects before they reach production, you will protect the trust of thousands of payees and eliminate costly retroactive adjustments.
- • Champion automation and continuous improvement within the QA practice. Evaluate opportunities to introduce automated test scripts, data-validation routines, and regression packs that shrink cycle times and free analysts for higher-value work. Document new standards, coach junior testers, and embed quality gates into the CI/CD pipeline so that every enhancement ships with confidence.
- • Translate complex business requirements into crisp, testable user stories and acceptance criteria. Partner with Sales Operations, Finance, Compensation, and HR to elicit needs, map current-state processes, and identify pain points. Facilitate workshops, process-mapping sessions, and story-grooming meetings that convert ambiguous ideas into actionable backlog items with clear ROI.
- • Provide third-level support for production issues and new-feature questions. When frontline support teams escalate, you will triage, reproduce, and isolate root causes, then coordinate with developers, admins, and vendors to deliver permanent fixes. Maintain a knowledge base of known issues, work-arounds, and resolution steps that reduces future ticket volume.
- • Design and deliver role-based training, quick-reference guides, and video tutorials that accelerate user adoption. Whether onboarding a new sales team or rolling out a mid-year plan change, you will ensure every stakeholder understands how to use the system correctly and where to go for help. Measure training effectiveness through surveys and usage analytics, iterating content as needed.
- • Build executive-ready dashboards and self-service reports that turn raw commission data into strategic insight. Leverage Xactly Analytics, Tableau, or Power BI to visualize attainment, pipeline coverage, plan effectiveness, and forecast risk. Provide Finance and Sales Leadership with the evidence they need to refine territories, quotas, and accelerators in real time.
- • Manage small-to-medium technology projects from initiation through closure. Develop project charters, work-breakdown structures, and risk registers; maintain schedules, budgets, and scope baselines in ServiceNow or Jira; and communicate status to sponsors and steering committees on a weekly cadence. Ensure every deliverable meets Ferguson’s governance and compliance standards.
- • Serve as the bridge between business and technology, advising on best practices for ServiceNow, Atlassian, and other collaboration platforms. Influence architecture decisions, recommend configuration over customization, and enforce naming conventions, security roles, and data-quality standards that keep the ecosystem healthy and scalable.
- • Foster a culture of transparency and continuous feedback. Run retrospectives, post-implementation reviews, and health-check surveys that surface lessons learned and feed the next iteration of process or system improvements. Celebrate wins, acknowledge contributions, and keep morale high across distributed, cross-functional teams.
