  • • Serve as the analytical engine and strategic advisor to the Head of Business Management and General Manager, shaping critical business decisions that drive financial progress and growth for M-KOPA Ghana.
  • • Lead strategic analysis initiatives including competitive intelligence, market expansion, product launches, and partnership evaluations to inform senior leadership decision-making.
  • • Conduct in-depth market analysis to track emerging competitors, assess their strategies, and recommend defensive and offensive commercial moves.
  • • Own pricing strategy and optimization across the smartphone financing portfolio and emerging products, including margin analysis, profitability modelling, and responsive pricing adjustments.
  • • Build and maintain business cases for new products, partnerships, and market expansion initiatives with ROI analyses and scenario modelling that meet CFO-level scrutiny.
  • • Monitor and analyse performance of key partnerships with telcos, OEMs, retail chains, and dealer networks using scorecards and KPIs tied to sales contribution, operational efficiency, and margin impact.
  • • Identify optimization opportunities within partnerships and surface actionable insights on what is working, what isn’t, and what requires intervention.
  • • Lead the Business Intelligence team to design, build, and maintain dashboards, KPI frameworks, and reporting infrastructure that underpin the entire business’s analytical foundation.
  • • Drive a data-driven decision-making culture by translating complex data into clear, actionable insights that non-technical leaders can act on immediately.
  • • Lead strategic transformation projects including market expansion, fraud prevention, process optimisation, and sales operations analytics.
  • • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, product, operations, and commercial teams to align analytical outputs with business objectives.
  • • Utilize advanced Excel/Google Sheets and BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar) to build dashboards and perform statistical analysis — not just consume reports.
  • • Apply statistical methods including regression, correlation, significance testing, and experimentation design to validate insights and guide strategic recommendations.
  • • Support the company’s mission of financial inclusion by enabling data-backed decisions that expand access to credit and clean energy for everyday earners across Africa.
  • • Contribute to environmental impact goals by analysing the performance of clean energy products and circular economy initiatives that have avoided 2.155 million tonnes of COâ‚‚ to date.
  • • Operate in a hybrid model based in Accra, Ghana, with direct reporting to the General Manager and collaboration with global teams across the UK, Europe, and Africa.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 4+ years of progressive experience in strategy, business intelligence, analytics, or management consulting within high-growth commercial environments
  • • Proven track record in data analytics using dashboards and analytical frameworks to support C-suite or senior leadership decision-making
  • • Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and hands-on experience building dashboards in BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar)
  • • Strong financial modelling skills including business cases, ROI analyses, and scenario modelling under CFO-level scrutiny
  • • Statistical analysis capability including regression, correlation, significance testing, and experimentation design
  • • Demonstrated experience influencing cross-functional teams through data-driven insights and collaboration
