- • Serve as the ultimate authority on cloud engineering practices, overseeing and optimizing all aspects of cloud strategy and implementation across multiple platforms.
- • Lead cutting-edge research initiatives to identify, evaluate, and integrate emerging cloud technologies with potential organizational impact.
- • Architect and design scalable, innovative cloud-based systems that solve complex business challenges and establish new industry standards.
- • Develop and implement advanced testing methodologies to ensure high performance, security, and reliability of cloud infrastructure.
- • Conduct high-level evaluations of existing cloud environments to provide strategic insights for optimization, cost-efficiency, and technological advancement.
- • Apply advanced principles of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis to resolve complex cloud-related technical problems and drive innovation.
- • Collaborate directly with executive leadership to shape and align the organization’s long-term cloud strategy with core business objectives.
- • Establish and enforce organization-wide best practices, standards, and guidelines for cloud engineering, architecture, and governance.
- • Lead and mentor high-performance cloud engineering teams, fostering technical excellence and professional growth.
- • Ensure compliance with global cloud security and governance requirements across all cloud platforms and deployments.
- • Maintain expert-level proficiency in AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud platforms, leveraging deep architectural knowledge to guide platform selection and optimization.
- • Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical teams and C-level executives to influence strategic decision-making.
- • Travel up to 10% within the Continental US to support on-site engagements, client meetings, or infrastructure assessments.
- • Maintain an active Secret security clearance throughout employment to ensure compliance with federal contract requirements.
🎯 Requirements
- • Active Secret clearance
- • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cloud Computing, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
- • 7+ years of extensive experience in cloud engineering and architecture
- • Expert-level proficiency in multiple cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- • Comprehensive mastery of cloud architecture, design patterns, and emerging cloud technologies
- • Proven ability to lead and mentor high-performance cloud engineering teams
