• • Cloudscaler Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior AWS Cloud Engineer to spearhead the design, build, and operation of secure, enterprise-scale cloud platforms. You will be instrumental in delivering robust and scalable cloud solutions for our esteemed central government and private enterprise clients across the UK.
• • As a Senior AWS Cloud Engineer, your primary responsibilities will encompass the end-to-end lifecycle of cloud platform development and management. This includes the meticulous design and construction of AWS Landing Zones, creating secure and efficient multi-tenant cloud environments that meet stringent regulatory requirements. You will leverage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies, primarily using Terraform, to automate the provisioning and management of cloud resources, ensuring consistency, repeatability, and auditability.
• • A significant aspect of this role involves implementing highly secure and scalable solutions tailored for regulated environments. This requires a deep understanding of cloud security best practices, compliance frameworks, and the ability to translate these into practical, implementable designs and configurations. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines, enabling rapid, reliable, and secure deployment of applications and infrastructure updates. This includes integrating security checks and automated testing into the pipeline to maintain a high level of quality and security.
• • Applying Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles will be crucial to ensuring the utmost reliability, resilience, and operational excellence of the cloud platforms you build and manage. This involves defining and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), implementing effective alerting strategies, and proactively identifying and mitigating potential issues to minimize downtime and ensure service continuity. You will also be involved in capacity planning and performance tuning to optimize resource utilization and cost-effectiveness.
• • Collaboration is key to success in this role. You will work hand-in-hand with internal engineering teams, security specialists, and client-side technical teams to drive successful cloud adoption and transformation initiatives. This involves effectively communicating complex technical concepts to a diverse range of stakeholders, including technical peers, project managers, and senior leadership, ensuring alignment and buy-in.
• • The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of hands-on technical expertise and strategic foresight. Experience with enterprise-scale AWS platforms is essential, alongside a proven track record in AWS Landing Zone implementation and a deep understanding of Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform. You should be adept at working within secure cloud architecture environments and operations, with a preference for candidates who have experience in highly-regulated sectors such as central government or defence.

Eligibility for SC clearance is mandatory, and we will sponsor this process. A willingness to obtain DV clearance in the future is considered a significant advantage.
