- • Lead the global commercial strategy for Adyen’s Financial Services and Insurance vertical, with primary focus on banking license markets in the US, UK, and EU to increase market share and penetration.
- • Partner with Product Marketing to shape and communicate go-to-market strategies for critical product areas to global Sales, Account Management, and Partnerships teams.
- • Collaborate with regional Heads of Sales and vertical teams to execute market strategy, including identifying and targeting new enterprise logos and driving prospecting efforts.
- • Tailor Adyen’s value propositions to address specific needs of Financial Services and Insurance prospects, supporting the sales process from initial engagement to deal closure and account expansion.
- • Develop and refine customer segmentation within Financial Services and Insurance, identifying high-potential sub-verticals, markets, and countries, and provide clear prioritization to maximize strategic impact.
- • Create and articulate product-specific value propositions that highlight Adyen’s competitive differentiation in the Financial Services and Insurance industries.
- • Source and analyze feedback from global customers and internal Sales/Account Management teams to identify product gaps, market opportunities, and unmet needs.
- • Partner with Product and Compliance teams to prioritize, develop, and launch new solutions aligned with Adyen’s vision for Financial Services and Insurance sectors.
- • Develop and maintain internal and external educational materials, commercial collateral, and documentation specific to the Financial Services and Insurance verticals.
- • Represent Adyen externally as a thought leader in the Financial Services sector through industry events, publications, and public engagements.
- • Partner with Marketing on global marketing, PR, and event strategies to align with growth objectives in Financial Services and Insurance markets.
- • Support broader Commercial Strategy team efforts in converting Financial Services opportunities and advancing commercial initiatives across the wider industry.
- • Travel internationally as required to engage with clients, partners, and internal teams across key markets.
🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in commercial strategy or business consulting within the technology sector, preferably financial technology, with demonstrable background in Financial Services and/or Insurance
- • Expert knowledge of Financial Services and Insurance markets, including market trends, competitive dynamics, operating models, and regulatory environments
- • Significant experience working with leading Financial Services and Insurance clients to drive financial success
- • Experience in both Enterprise and Platform business models
- • Proven ability to develop strong relationships with C-level executives at major financial institutions and insurance carriers
- • Ability to work in a global, multi-cultural, fast-paced commercial environment
