📋 Description
- • Examines and verifies property titles for legal accuracy and marketability in New York State
- • Reviews public records, tax documents, and survey maps to confirm ownership and identify liens or encumbrances
- • Prepares title commitments and reports for real estate transactions, ensuring compliance with state regulations
- • Collaborates with underwriters, lenders, and attorneys to support smooth closing processes
- • Maintains title plant records and assists in resolving title defects or discrepancies
- • Stays current with NY title law, industry standards, and best practices in title examination
🎯 Requirements
- • High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- • 5+ years of experience in title examination, real estate, or related field
- • Strong knowledge of New York title law, recording acts, and real estate principles
- • Excellent analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills
- • Proficiency in reviewing legal documents, public records, and technical reports
