- • As the Senior Compliance Manager & MLRO for Mexico, you will serve as the statutory Compliance Officer (Oficial de Cumplimiento) for Airwallex’s Mexican entity, playing a critical role in ensuring regulatory adherence and safeguarding operations in one of Latin America’s fastest-growing fintech markets.
- • You will design, implement, and oversee the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Countering the Financing of Terrorism (CFT) program, manage regulatory reporting via the SITI PLD/FT portal, oversee KYC/KYB and transaction monitoring, and act as the primary liaison with CNBV, SHCP, and Banxico.
- • You will partner with Product, Commercial, and Operations teams to embed compliance into new product launches, advise on regulatory risks, and support the Communication and Control Committee as its Secretary, preparing monthly effectiveness reports.
- • You will coordinate annual external audits and internal compliance reviews, track remediation of findings, and maintain your CNBV certification while influencing senior stakeholders and navigating complex regulatory discussions in Spanish and English.

🎯 Requirements
- • 8+ years of experience in financial crime compliance, risk management, or internal control within the Mexican financial sector (Fintech, Bank, or SOFIPO)
- • Must currently hold the CNBV Anti-Money Laundering Certification (Certificación en materia de PLD/FT expedida por la CNBV)
- • Deep mastery of Mexican PLD/FT regulations, the Ley Fintech, and General Provisions applicable to Electronic Payment Funds Institutions (IFPEs)
- • Native-level fluency in Spanish and professional fluency in English
- • Strong ability to influence senior internal stakeholders and manage external regulatory relationships with credibility
