  • • WGSN is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Consultant, Mindset, to join our vibrant and ambitious consultancy team on a 6-month fixed-term basis, covering maternity leave. This is a pivotal role for an individual passionate about shaping the future of consumer and design trends, working from our London office.
  • • As a Senior Consultant, you will be instrumental in driving WGSN's mission to "create tomorrow" by empowering clients with unparalleled insights. You will manage a dedicated portfolio of clients, developing bespoke commercial solutions that precisely address their unique challenges and strategic objectives. Your leadership will extend to guiding project teams, ensuring the delivery of inspiring, market-leading insights that foster innovation and competitive advantage.
  • • This role demands a deep understanding of trend forecasting, with the ability to translate macro-cultural shifts, evolving consumer behaviours, and emerging industry trends into actionable, thought-provoking insights. You will be expected to demonstrate expertise across WGSN's core industries, including Food & Drink, Fashion, Beauty, and Interiors, identifying key drivers of change and their potential impact.
  • • A strong consulting background, ideally within an agency setting, is essential. You will leverage extensive experience in leading and delivering high-impact consultancy engagements to senior client stakeholders. This involves skillfully blending qualitative and quantitative research methodologies to craft exemplary solutions that drive tangible business outcomes.
  • • Collaboration is at the heart of this role. You will be an excellent team player, working seamlessly with global consultants, account management, and sales teams. Your commercial acumen will be crucial in identifying and expanding commercial opportunities within key client accounts, ensuring WGSN's services are optimally leveraged.
  • • You will act as a trusted industry expert, a thought leader who consistently delivers considered, strategic solutions to complex client briefs. This involves a proactive approach to understanding client needs, articulating their business objectives, and demonstrating the return on investment (ROI) of WGSN's services.
  • • Key accountabilities include working closely with the Director and Mindset Senior Leadership to execute the consultancy strategy, ensuring the appropriate methodologies and frameworks are applied to all project teams. You will own and manage a defined set of accounts, taking full responsibility for delivering against complex, strategic briefs.
  • • The role involves leading primary and secondary research across a diverse range of methodologies. This includes designing research frameworks tailored to specific project requirements, conducting qualitative and quantitative analysis, and providing actionable trend forecasts that directly benefit clients' future business strategies.
  • • You will be responsible for the overall relevancy and quality of the work delivered to your assigned clients. This includes actively seeking and evaluating client feedback to continuously maintain and improve service standards, ensuring WGSN remains at the forefront of the industry.
  • • To facilitate client engagement and project delivery, you will be expected to travel nationally and internationally, working across different time zones with a diverse global client base. This requires adaptability and a global mindset.
  • • You will also play a role in mentoring and overseeing junior team members, sharing your expertise in research methodologies and project execution, thereby contributing to the overall growth and development of the consultancy team.
  • • Success in this role hinges on your ability to be a critical thinker, adept at considering both strategic and tactical implications. You must possess highly skilled verbal and written communication abilities, capable of articulating complex ideas clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.
  • • The ability to lead project teams effectively, prioritize workloads, and support other team members is paramount. You should be comfortable and proficient in leading initiatives across multi-functional teams and navigating the complexities of working across multiple time zones.
  • • This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a leading trend forecasting and advisory service, working with a dynamic team and a prestigious client portfolio. If you are a seasoned consultant with a passion for trends and a proven track record of delivering exceptional client solutions, we encourage you to apply.
