📋 Description
- • Senior Counsel role at Fieldguide Inc., a remote-first company building AI-native software for audit, advisory, and assurance workflows to establish trust in global commerce and capital markets.
- • Own negotiation and execution of all commercial agreements including MSAs, SaaS subscriptions, DPAs, BAAs, and NDAs; define risk tiering frameworks; build contract playbooks and leverage AI to scale legal operations; manage outside counsel relationships and serve as primary legal advisor to GTM, People, and Finance teams.
- • Join a mission-driven, values-based team backed by top investors including Goldman Sachs Alternatives, Bessemer Venture Partners, and Y Combinator; contribute to building legal infrastructure from scratch in a high-growth Series C startup environment.
- • Develop expertise in AI and data licensing, multi-state and international employment compliance, and corporate governance while gaining end-to-end ownership of the legal function in a dynamic, innovative SaaS company.
🎯 Requirements
- • J.D. from an accredited law school with active bar admission in good standing
- • 8-10 years of legal experience, including 3-4 years at a law firm and 5-6 years in-house at a B2B SaaS company (Series B-D preferred)
- • Deep fluency in commercial SaaS contracts (MSAs, DPAs, BAAs, SLAs) with substantive AI and data licensing experience
- • Demonstrated expertise in data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, SOC 2) and DPA negotiations
- • Proven track record building legal infrastructure from scratch, including contract templates, playbooks, CLM implementations, or compliance programs
