📋 Description
- • As a Senior Counsel - Commercial at Lambda Inc., you will play a pivotal role in shaping the legal framework that underpins our rapid growth in the AI cloud infrastructure sector. This is a unique opportunity to join a lean, high-impact legal team where your contributions will directly influence the scaling of our cutting-edge platform and strategic partnerships.
- • You will be instrumental in structuring, negotiating, and managing a diverse portfolio of high-value commercial agreements. This includes, but is not limited to, complex customer contracts, critical data center service provider agreements, strategic partner and reseller arrangements, distributor agreements, and impactful marketing partnerships. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring these agreements align with Lambda's business objectives and risk tolerance.
- • A key aspect of this role involves partnering closely with the Assistant General Counsel (AGC) to take ownership and effectively manage enterprise deal negotiations. You will be the legal point person, guiding these significant transactions from inception to completion, ensuring favorable terms and robust legal protections for Lambda.
- • Collaboration is at the heart of this position. You will work hand-in-hand with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, Product, and Finance. Your ability to enable business objectives while meticulously managing legal risks will be paramount to the success of our go-to-market strategies and product launches.
- • You will provide expert advice on contract structure and associated risks, ensuring that all agreements are not only legally sound but also strategically aligned with Lambda's overarching organizational goals and evolving legal requirements in the fast-paced technology landscape.
- • Leveraging legal technology and automation tools will be essential. You will contribute to streamlining our contracting processes, enhancing compliance tracking mechanisms, and improving our overall knowledge management systems, thereby increasing efficiency and reducing turnaround times.
- • Beyond day-to-day negotiations, you will proactively identify opportunities for operational improvements within the legal team. This includes developing and refining standard templates, updating playbooks, and implementing best practices to enhance the team's effectiveness and scalability.
- • This role demands a high degree of autonomy. You will be expected to operate independently, providing practical, decisive, and commercially-minded guidance to our business teams. Your counsel will strike a crucial balance between advancing business objectives and mitigating legal exposure.
- • You will be at the forefront of supporting Lambda's mission to make compute as ubiquitous as electricity and empower everyone with superintelligence. Your work will directly contribute to securing the infrastructure and partnerships necessary for the next generation of AI innovation.
- • The dynamic nature of the AI industry means you will constantly be engaged with novel legal challenges and opportunities. You will have the chance to develop expertise in emerging areas of technology law, cloud computing, and AI-specific regulations.
- • This position requires a proactive and growth-oriented mindset. You will be encouraged to expand your responsibilities and impact over time, contributing to the development of the legal function as Lambda continues its exponential growth.
- • You will be an integral part of a team that values collaboration, flexibility, and a shared commitment to excellence. The ability to address unique issues in real-time and judiciously involve other stakeholders when necessary will be highly valued.
- • Your role will involve navigating complex, multi-million dollar transactions, ensuring Lambda's continued leadership in providing AI cloud infrastructure to a global clientele ranging from AI researchers to enterprises and hyperscalers.
- • You will contribute to Lambda's expansion efforts, both domestically and internationally, by ensuring that all legal agreements and structures are robust and scalable.
- • This is an opportunity to work within a company that is not only a leader in its field but also deeply invested in research and development, with a strong track record of academic contributions to top machine learning and graphics conferences.
