- • Lead the Performance Design department at Directive Consulting, a top B2B performance marketing agency, where creative excellence directly drives revenue growth, pipeline generation, and scalable marketing engines for SaaS and B2B clients—ensuring every design asset is not only visually compelling but engineered for conversion and business impact.
- • Own the end-to-end creative vision and quality standards across paid social, display, video, and landing page formats, while managing a multidisciplinary team of designers, project managers, and motion contractors to deliver high-performing creative that aligns with data-driven marketing strategies and client goals.
- • Partner closely with paid media and client success teams to ensure creative is informed by performance data from inception, represent the department in new business pitches, and articulate Performance Design as a strategic growth lever rather than just an execution function.
- • Own and manage the department P&L, monitor margins, make resourcing decisions with financial accountability, and operate the team as a profitable, scalable business unit—thinking and acting like an owner to drive long-term departmental health and competitiveness.
- • Lead the integration of AI creative tools into real production workflows, evaluating and implementing generative image, AI-powered video, and design analytics platforms (e.g., EyeQuant, Creatify, Superside) to sharpen output, improve efficiency, and future-proof the team’s capabilities.
- • Coach, develop, and elevate a high-performing creative team by setting clear expectations, fostering accountability, identifying growth opportunities, and building a culture where craftsmanship and performance coexist—ensuring team members thrive while delivering award-winning, results-oriented work.
- • Operate in a remote-first environment with flexibility to work from anywhere in the U.S., supported by access to Directive’s Irvine headquarters and global collaboration via Zoom and Slack, requiring a professional home office setup, reliable internet, and proficiency with standard productivity tools.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of experience in creative roles within performance marketing, paid media, or growth-focused agency environments, with proven ability to manage creative teams while balancing artistic quality with measurable business outcomes.
- • Direct experience managing or having visibility into departmental P&L, margin optimization, and resourcing decisions, demonstrating strong business acumen and an owner’s mindset in financial and operational leadership.
- • Hands-on experience with AI creative tools (generative image, AI-powered video, design analytics) and a track record of integrating them into real production workflows—not just experimentation—plus familiarity with platforms like EyeQuant, Creatify, or Superside is a plus.
- • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate creative concepts into business language for stakeholders ranging from designers to VPs and CMOs, and a proven history of building trust across creative and leadership teams.
- • Demonstrated success in leading, coaching, and developing multidisciplinary creative teams, including setting clear expectations, fostering accountability, and investing in team members’ professional growth and career progression.
