• • Own the global design standards that keep 750+ Serverfarm data centers running at five-nines reliability. You will author, release, and continuously refine the electrical and mechanical specifications that every new build and retrofit must meet, ensuring that a rack deployed in Virginia behaves identically to one in Tel Aviv.
• • Translate hyperscale customer roadmaps—AI clusters, liquid-cooled GPU trays, 50 kW+ racks—into repeatable, codified designs. You will create generational templates that compress delivery timelines from months to weeks while guaranteeing resilience for cloud-compute, machine-learning, and emerging AI workloads.
• • Act as the technical bridge between global deployment teams and local site engineers. Review site-specific change requests, validate them against the master standard, and when deviations are justified, document the rationale so lessons learned propagate worldwide.
• • Drive cost and speed efficiencies by functionally decomposing complex infrastructure puzzles into simple, auditable solutions. Your work will directly influence Serverfarm’s ability to quadruple capacity over the next four years without compromising safety or sustainability.
• • Lead cross-regional design sprints with internal stakeholders and external EPC partners to harmonize electrical, mechanical, fire, and controls disciplines. Your output will be a living library of design guides, specifications, and SOPs that eliminate ambiguity and accelerate permitting.
• • Champion root-cause analysis for any electrical or mechanical failure across the fleet. Distill findings into design retrofits and preventive-maintenance playbooks that raise MTBF and reduce MTTR enterprise-wide.
• • Spend up to 35% of your time on domestic and international travel, walking sites, commissioning systems, and transferring tribal knowledge to regional teams. Your presence turns standards on paper into muscle memory for technicians in the field.
• • Influence the next generation of sustainable data centers by integrating renewable-ready switchgear, high-efficiency chillers, and closed-loop liquid cooling into the global design language. Your decisions will cut PUE and carbon intensity while supporting 24×7 operations.
• • Mentor junior engineers and rotating technical teams, turning complex code requirements and single-point-of-failure analyses into digestible training modules. Your leadership multiplies engineering capacity across 45 countries.
• • Continuously scan technology and regulatory horizons—ASHRAE updates, NFPA changes, regional building codes—and fold new requirements into the master standard before they become compliance risks.
