📋 Description

• • Architect and own the next-generation data backbone that powers Token Metrics’ AI-driven crypto analytics platform, serving 50+ countries and thousands of active investors who rely on millisecond-accurate insights.
• • Design, build, and scale a fault-tolerant, cloud-native data lake and warehouse that ingests terabytes of on-chain, off-chain, and social-media data via APIs, CSV, JSON, and WebSocket feeds—turning raw, noisy data into battle-tested signals for our ranking and prediction engines.
• • Lead the end-to-end construction of ETL/ELT pipelines that validate, reconcile, and enrich data in real time; implement data-quality gates, anomaly detection, and automated rollback strategies so downstream data scientists and quant researchers can trust every tick.
• • Translate complex business questions into dimensional data models and star/snowflake schemas optimized for both low-latency queries and heavy analytical workloads; continuously refactor legacy structures to cut query cost and latency by double-digit percentages.
• • Collaborate daily with data scientists, quant traders, and product managers to understand new feature requests—then prototype, benchmark, and productionize solutions in Python, Java, or C++ while ensuring backward compatibility and zero-downtime deployments.
• • Leverage AWS native services (S3, Lambda, Glue, EMR, Kinesis, Redshift, SageMaker) to create auto-scaling, cost-efficient infrastructure; champion Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform or CloudFormation so every environment is reproducible and auditable.
• • Implement robust CI/CD pipelines with automated unit, integration, and data-reconciliation tests; maintain comprehensive documentation and runbooks so any team member can onboard and deploy within hours, not days.
• • Stay ahead of the curve—evaluate emerging tools (Snowflake, MongoDB, ClickHouse, dbt, Airflow 2.x, Spark 3.x) and propose adoption when they materially improve throughput, governance, or developer velocity; share findings through internal tech talks and blog posts.
• • Act as a technical mentor to junior engineers and data analysts, conducting code reviews, pair-programming sessions, and brown-bag lunches that level-up the entire team’s skill set.
• • Uphold security and compliance best practices—encrypt data in transit and at rest, manage IAM roles with least-privilege principles, and ensure SOC 2 and GDPR readiness across all data assets.
