• • Are you a seasoned Data Engineer with a passion for building robust, scalable data infrastructures that directly fuel business growth? Elliptic Enterprises Limited is seeking a Senior Customer Data Engineer to architect and implement the technical backbone of our high-growth revenue engine. This pivotal role involves designing and building integrations and custom applications that empower our revenue teams to operate at peak efficiency and deliver seamless customer experiences across the entire customer lifecycle.
• • In this position, you will serve as the technical architect for our Go-To-Market (GTM) technology stack. Your primary responsibility will be to develop a cohesive and unified customer data ecosystem. This ecosystem will consolidate all our commercial and customer data, acting as the foundational layer for critical platforms including our pricing engine, contract management systems, and business intelligence tools. This is far more than standard systems integration; you will be constructing the essential technical infrastructure that enables Elliptic to provide exceptional, frictionless experiences from a customer's initial engagement through to renewal and expansion.
• • You will architect the very foundation upon which our entire revenue organization is built. This involves defining how we structure, store, manage, and access customer data throughout its entire lifecycle – from the very first touchpoint to ongoing customer expansion. The insights and capabilities derived from this data will drive data-driven commercial decisions and pave the way for advanced AI-powered automation. This role uniquely sits at the intersection of data engineering, product architecture, and revenue operations, demanding a blend of technical expertise and strategic business understanding.
• • Your responsibilities will include translating complex business requirements from marketing, sales, and customer success teams into elegant, efficient data models. These models will be designed to facilitate seamless customer experiences and enable powerful, actionable analytics. You will be instrumental in shaping how we understand and interact with our customers through data.
• • **Customer Data Architecture:**
• • Design and implement a comprehensive, object-oriented customer data model that spans critical areas such as contracts, subscriptions, detailed usage metrics, customer engagement signals, and all commercial interactions.
• • Develop and maintain essential data documentation, including detailed data dictionaries, clear data lineage tracking, entity-relationship diagrams (ERDs), and thorough technical specifications.
• • Build the foundational object-oriented data structures that power our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, HubSpot, and establish robust relationships between custom objects tailored for B2B SaaS operations.
• • Architect sophisticated data schemas that effectively support both high-volume transactional systems (like CRM, billing, and contract management) and demanding analytical workloads (including reporting, business intelligence, and AI/ML initiatives).
• • Define and enforce critical data governance standards, establish consistent naming conventions, and implement rigorous data quality frameworks to ensure the integrity and reliability of our customer data.
• • **Data Pipeline Engineering:**
• • Develop and maintain robust ETL/ELT processes to create and maintain a single, unified, and accurate view of the customer across all their touchpoints with Elliptic.
• • Design and implement high-performance data structures specifically optimized for Generative AI (GenAI) retrieval and agent-based querying, enabling advanced AI applications.
• • Implement both real-time and batch data synchronization patterns to ensure data is current and accessible for both operational and analytical use cases.
• • Proactively ensure data freshness, consistency, and overall reliability across the entire customer data ecosystem.
• • **Revenue Systems Backend:**
• • Create sophisticated data models specifically designed for effective screenings management and granular usage tracking across diverse customer segments.
• • Architect and build self-serve purchase journey tracking mechanisms, ensuring complete and auditable trails for all transactions.
• • Design data structures that are inherently automation-friendly, facilitating seamless integration with systems for renewal and expansion pipeline generation.
• • You will thrive in this role if you possess expert-level proficiency in Python, have at least 5 years of commercial experience in data engineering, and a proven track record of building resilient, distributed data architectures. You should be adept at using data to inform decisions about product development and iteration. The ability to interpret complex requirements from a variety of stakeholders and translate them into effective technical solutions is crucial. Furthermore, you should enjoy guiding and mentoring junior engineers, fostering a collaborative environment, and promoting a positive team culture through open and effective communication, especially when addressing challenges or raising concerns.
