- • As a Senior Customer Reliability Engineer - Infrastructure at Astronomer, you will ensure the reliability and availability of the managed Airflow service by operating, monitoring, and maintaining the underlying cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes clusters, directly impacting customer success with mission-critical data products.
- • Day to day, you will troubleshoot customer environments, participate in on-call rotations, provide solutions to make customers successful, build and maintain monitoring and alerting systems, develop automation for operational tasks, contribute to product architecture, enhance customer documentation, and work remotely within a distributed team to resolve incidents and improve the customer experience.
- • Astronomer empowers data teams to bring mission-critical software, analytics, and AI to life through Astro, the industry-leading unified DataOps platform powered by Apache Airflow®, trusted by over 800 leading enterprises worldwide to unlock insights and power data-driven applications.
- • In this role, you will gain deep expertise in multi-cloud Kubernetes infrastructures, observability platforms, and customer-facing reliability engineering, while contributing to product improvements and shaping the reliability of a scalable DataOps platform used by global enterprises.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5 years of experience with large, complex cloud infrastructures operating at scale
- • 3 years of experience with Kubernetes
- • Experience managing a production distributed system with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- • Strong Linux experience
- • Knowledge of operating and monitoring issues in distributed systems
- • Previous experience handling customer issues (internal or external)
- • Strong communication skills
- • DevOps or CI/CD experience
- • Python scripting
- • Good troubleshooting skills
