đź“‹ Description
- • As a Senior Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst at Okta, you will be a pivotal member of our expanding Cyber Defense (CD) team, spearheading the establishment and growth of our EMEA Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) function. This role is instrumental in advancing Okta's intelligence-led approach to cybersecurity, ensuring robust protection for our platforms, customers, and corporate environment.
- • You will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of threat intelligence, from identification and collation to assessment and dissemination. This involves proactively monitoring and researching the evolving tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) employed by threat actors targeting Okta, its products, and its user base. By deeply understanding adversary motivations, methodologies, and capabilities, you will provide actionable intelligence to empower our security teams in their defensive operations.
- • A key aspect of your role will be to contribute to the maintenance and continuous enhancement of our Threat Intelligence Platform. This includes ensuring the efficient ingestion and dissemination of critical indicators of compromise (IOCs) to our defensive teams and integrated tooling, thereby improving our detection and response capabilities.
- • You will maintain a comprehensive and up-to-date understanding of the global cyber threat landscape, with a specific focus on its relevance to Okta and its diverse customer base. This knowledge will be curated and communicated effectively to key stakeholders across various departments, including security operations, IT, and product engineering, through both written reports and oral presentations.
- • Your expertise will be crucial in leveraging Okta's Priority Intelligence Requirements (PIRs) to guide your research and ensure the delivery of intelligence that directly supports the strategic objectives of CTI's stakeholders. This proactive approach ensures that our security posture is aligned with the most pressing threats.
- • During active security incidents or significant events, you will provide critical tactical cyber intelligence support to the incident commander, offering real-time insights and analysis to inform decision-making and response strategies.
- • You will conduct in-depth research to support ongoing threat investigations, skillfully integrating open-source intelligence (OSINT) with internal data and proprietary tools. Your ability to make informed judgments based on this synthesized information and document your findings and conclusions with clarity and precision will be paramount.
- • The role demands a proactive and curious mindset, with a strong desire to understand complex computing environments and how systems interact. This foundational knowledge is essential for effectively defending against sophisticated threats.
- • You will be expected to work with a high degree of autonomy, driving your efforts based on defined intelligence requirements and achieving measurable outcomes with limited direct supervision.
- • Collaboration is key; you will work closely with other members of the Cyber Defense team and cross-functional partners, sharing knowledge and contributing to a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- • As a senior member of the team, you will also have the opportunity to mentor less experienced colleagues, fostering their development in the field of cyber threat intelligence.
- • Your contributions will directly impact Okta's ability to anticipate, detect, and respond to cyber threats, safeguarding our reputation, intellectual property, and customer trust in an increasingly complex threat landscape.
- • You will be at the forefront of understanding emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and attacker methodologies, translating this complex information into clear, actionable intelligence for diverse audiences.
- • This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the CTI program in EMEA and contribute to a globally recognized identity security leader, working with cutting-edge technologies and a talented team dedicated to securing the digital world.
🎯 Requirements
- • A minimum of 5 years of experience in cyber threat intelligence or threat research roles.
- • Strong understanding of network security fundamentals and their application to threat actor tracking, including familiarity with core protocols such as TCP/IP, TLS, and DNS.
- • Proven ability to conduct research into the tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) of sophisticated adversaries and hunt for evidence of their activities within an enterprise environment.
- • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical information to various stakeholders (work samples encouraged).
- • Demonstrated ability to work independently and achieve outcomes with limited direct supervision.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Competitive annual base salary range for Spain (€60,000 - €82,500 EUR).
- • Comprehensive healthcare coverage and financial benefits.
- • Generous paid time off and parental leave policies.
- • Opportunity to work remotely.
- • Access to Okta's Total Rewards program, including equity and bonus potential.
