đź“‹ Description
- • Trility Consulting is at the forefront of delivering innovative and impactful cybersecurity solutions, and we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cybersecurity Operations Engineer to join our dynamic team. This is a pivotal role focused on managing and executing a critical cybersecurity program transition for one of our key clients, moving their security operations to a new Managed Security Services Provider (MSSP). As a Senior Cybersecurity Operations Engineer, you will be instrumental in ensuring a seamless and effective handover, maintaining robust security posture throughout the process, and establishing a foundation for future operational excellence.
- • This engagement is a hands-on engineering role, requiring you to be deeply embedded within an existing Trility delivery team. Your primary responsibility will be to architect, implement, and manage the technical aspects of the MSSP transition. This involves a deep dive into the client's current security infrastructure, understanding their existing toolsets, and meticulously planning the integration of new security tools and technologies. You will be responsible for ensuring that all security tools are correctly configured, optimized, and communicating effectively to provide comprehensive threat detection and response capabilities.
- • A significant part of your role will involve redirecting telemetry and log flows. This requires a thorough understanding of various logging mechanisms, SIEM solutions, and data aggregation platforms. You will need to ensure that all relevant security events and logs from on-premise infrastructure, cloud environments (such as AWS, Azure, or GCP), and critical applications are accurately captured, normalized, and forwarded to the new MSSP for analysis and action. This meticulous attention to detail is crucial for maintaining visibility and enabling effective incident response.
- • You will also play a key role in ensuring the operational readiness of the cybersecurity program post-transition. This includes developing and refining operational procedures, playbooks, and runbooks for the MSSP. You will collaborate closely with the MSSP's security operations center (SOC) analysts to ensure they have the necessary information, tools, and training to effectively monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents. Your expertise will guide the MSSP in understanding the client's unique threat landscape and risk profile.
- • The ideal candidate will possess the ability to quickly integrate into an active program, demonstrating initiative and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You must be adept at collaborating with diverse stakeholders, including internal Trility teams, client IT and security personnel, and the external MSSP. Your communication skills will be vital in bridging technical complexities and ensuring alignment across all parties involved in the transition.
- • This role demands a strong understanding of both on-premise and cloud security architectures. You will be expected to assess the security implications of cloud adoption and ensure that security controls are consistently applied across hybrid environments. This includes configuring and managing cloud-native security services, implementing identity and access management (IAM) controls, and ensuring data protection in the cloud.
- • Beyond the immediate transition, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of the client's security operations. This may involve identifying opportunities for automation, enhancing detection rules, and recommending best practices for security tool deployment and management. Your insights will help shape the future direction of the client's cybersecurity program, ensuring it remains resilient and effective against evolving threats.
- • Trility Consulting fosters a remote-work culture that emphasizes collaboration, growth, and mutual support, as evidenced by our Great Place to Work® Certification. We are looking for individuals who possess the grit to pioneer new solutions, the resilience to overcome challenges, and the adaptability to navigate evolving client needs. If you are a self-motivated professional who thrives on solving complex problems, values over-communication, and is passionate about delivering tangible value to clients, this role offers an exceptional opportunity to make a significant impact.
- • This is a remote 1099 position, offering flexibility and the chance to work with a leading consulting firm known for its commitment to client success and employee development. You will be part of a team that values expertise, collaboration, and a relentless pursuit of excellence in the cybersecurity domain.
🎯 Requirements

- • Strong understanding of networking protocols, security principles, and common attack vectors.
- • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote, distributed team environment.
