đź“‹ Description

  • • As a Senior Data Analyst at Pearl Health, you will play a pivotal role in transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive critical business decisions. You will be instrumental in designing, building, and maintaining the robust data models that serve as the foundation for our analytics and reporting across clinical outcomes and P&L.
  • • This role requires a hands-on approach, leveraging your experience as a Data Analyst or BI Engineer to not only create accurate data models but also to ensure their usability and accessibility for downstream users, particularly within BI tools. You will be the architect of a self-service data environment, fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making throughout the organization.
  • • Your primary focus will be on codifying complex business logic into clean, well-documented, and reusable datasets. This will empower teams across the company to confidently explore key areas such as practice engagement, patient spend, and network analytics, moving beyond ad-hoc query responses to creating sustainable data assets.
  • • You will be a champion for team best practices, actively participating in and managing pull requests, conducting thorough code reviews, and maintaining comprehensive documentation within a Git-based workflow. Applying software engineering principles, including automated testing and CI/CD, will be crucial to ensuring the robustness, scalability, and reliability of our data pipelines.
  • • Partner closely with our technical lead to architect flexible and scalable data models that accurately represent the complex ontological relationships within our healthcare data. This involves a strategic balance between addressing immediate business needs and ensuring long-term architectural integrity and maintainability.
  • • Translate high-level company objectives and complex business requirements into governed, reusable data models using dbt and Snowflake. These models will serve as the definitive 'source of truth' for all downstream BI tools, such as Hex, ensuring consistency and accuracy in reporting.
  • • Design, develop, and implement robust data transformation pipelines with a strong emphasis on modularity, performance optimization, and ease of maintenance. Your work will ensure that our data assets can effectively scale alongside our growing data volumes and evolving business needs.
  • • Go beyond basic schema design by implementing comprehensive automated testing strategies, including data freshness checks, schema validation, and null value analysis. You will also focus on establishing observability within our data systems to build implicit trust among all stakeholders.
  • • Collaborate effectively with Data Engineering to define data ingestion requirements and with Product and Customer Success teams to understand and scope analytical needs. This involves translating often vague business problems into precise, actionable technical requirements.
  • • Work with the technical lead to proactively identify technical debt and architectural improvement opportunities. You will propose and implement solutions that align our data infrastructure with our strategic 6-month OKRs, ensuring continuous progress and optimization.
  • • Contribute to the development of a data dictionary and comprehensive documentation for all data models and transformations, making it easier for others to understand and utilize the data.
  • • Mentor junior analysts and engineers, sharing your expertise in data modeling, SQL, dbt, and best practices in data engineering.
  • • Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in data analytics and engineering, evaluating and recommending new tools or techniques that could benefit Pearl Health.
  • • Actively participate in cross-functional meetings, providing data-driven insights and recommendations to various teams, including Product, Engineering, Clinical Operations, and Sales.
  • • Ensure data privacy and security compliance in all data modeling and transformation activities, adhering to healthcare industry regulations.
  • • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that provide key stakeholders with timely and accurate insights into business performance, clinical outcomes, and operational efficiency.
  • • Troubleshoot and resolve data quality issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing preventative measures.
  • • Contribute to the overall data strategy of the company, helping to shape the future of how Pearl Health leverages data for growth and innovation.
  • • You will be a key player in democratizing data access and enabling self-service analytics, fostering a data-literate culture across the organization.
  • • Your work will directly impact the company's ability to improve patient care, optimize financial performance, and achieve its mission of powering the future of healthcare.
  • • This role offers a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies in a fast-paced, mission-driven startup environment, making a tangible difference in the healthcare industry.
