• As a Senior Data Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to architect and implement data solutions that support Qodeworld's growing analytical and operational needs. This involves working with large datasets, ensuring data quality, and optimizing data processing workflows for performance and reliability. You will be at the forefront of developing our data platform, ensuring it is scalable, secure, and meets the evolving demands of our business.
• You will collaborate closely with data scientists, analysts, software engineers, and product managers to understand their data requirements and translate them into technical specifications. This collaborative approach ensures that our data infrastructure effectively serves the needs of various departments, from marketing and sales to product development and operations.
• Key responsibilities include designing and developing ETL/ELT processes using a variety of tools and programming languages. You will be responsible for data modeling, schema design, and database optimization to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval. Performance tuning of data pipelines and queries will be a critical aspect of your role, ensuring that data is accessible and processed in a timely manner.
• You will also play a crucial role in establishing and enforcing data governance standards, data quality frameworks, and best practices for data management. This includes implementing data validation checks, monitoring data integrity, and developing strategies to address data inconsistencies and errors.
• Furthermore, you will contribute to the selection and implementation of new data technologies and tools. Evaluating emerging trends in data engineering, such as cloud-native data warehousing, real-time data processing, and machine learning infrastructure, will be part of your mandate. You will help shape our technology roadmap and ensure Qodeworld remains at the cutting edge of data capabilities.
• You will be expected to mentor junior data engineers, sharing your expertise and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team. • Troubleshooting and resolving complex data-related issues will be a regular part of your duties. This requires a deep understanding of our data systems, strong analytical skills, and the ability to quickly diagnose and fix problems to minimize disruption.
• You will be involved in designing and implementing data security measures, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and protecting sensitive information. Data privacy and ethical data handling will be paramount in all your work.
• Developing and maintaining comprehensive documentation for data pipelines, processes, and infrastructure is essential for knowledge sharing and team efficiency. This includes architectural diagrams, data dictionaries, and operational runbooks.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of our data warehousing solutions, ensuring they are optimized for analytical querying and reporting.
• Explore and implement solutions for real-time data streaming and processing to enable immediate insights and responsive applications.
• Work with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) to build and manage scalable data infrastructure, leveraging managed services where appropriate.
• Champion data quality initiatives, implementing automated checks and monitoring systems to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of our data assets.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define key performance indicators (KPIs) and build reporting dashboards that provide valuable business intelligence.
• Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies in data engineering, continuously seeking ways to improve our data capabilities and processes.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer, with a significant portion of that experience at a senior level, demonstrating a track record of designing, building, and deploying complex data solutions.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra).
• Expertise in at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and its associated data services (e.g., S3, Redshift, EMR, Data Factory, BigQuery, Dataproc).
• Hands-on experience with big data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, or similar frameworks.
• Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in data engineering, such as Python or Scala.
• Experience with ETL/ELT tools and methodologies, and a deep understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
• Familiarity with data modeling techniques and schema design for both analytical and operational systems.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex data issues.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
