- • Senior Data Engineer responsible for building and scaling Wagmo's data infrastructure to power growth and support data-driven decisions across Analytics, Finance, Product, Marketing, and Engineering teams.
- • Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and data warehouse architecture in BigQuery; own infrastructure end-to-end and evolve it with business growth.
- • Define and implement clean, well-tested dbt transformations with strong CI/CD, code review, and documentation standards; ensure data quality through validation, monitoring, and lineage.

- • Opportunity to revolutionize pet health infrastructure, work in a high-impact startup environment, and build foundational data systems that scale from startup to maturity.
- • Develop expertise in modern data stack (BigQuery, dbt, Fivetran, Python, GCP), data modeling for AI, and leadership in ambiguous, fast-moving settings.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years in data engineering with experience owning production-grade pipelines and data warehouse solutions, preferably in high-growth SaaS or consumer tech.
- • Expertise in Python and SQL.
- • Deep dbt experience on BigQuery (or similar data warehouse).
- • Strong Git and CI/CD practices.
- • Familiarity with GCP and orchestration tools like Airflow or Fivetran.
- • Solid grasp of data warehousing fundamentals: dimensional modeling, ETL/ELT, query optimization, and data quality frameworks.
- • Strong understanding of building data models for AI (experience with Claude is a plus).
- • Strong communicator capable of leading projects, mentoring teammates, and collaborating cross-functionally with minimal supervision.
- • Autonomous, high-ownership mindset; comfortable making decisions under ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.

- • HSA/FSA accounts.
- • 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching.
- • Unlimited paid time off.
- • Annual company holidays and additional recharge days off.
- • 12 weeks parental leave for eligible employees.
- • Company-paid Wagmo pet wellness and insurance plans.
- • Regular company-wide events, team gatherings, and pet-friendly office.
- • Catered lunches provided.
