- • Senior Data Engineer responsible for building and maintaining Bronze and Silver data layers to consolidate fragmented data infrastructure and enable AI-ready analytics across Precision AQ’s life sciences portfolio.
- • Day-to-day duties include leading end-to-end data ingestion, transformation, and enrichment pipelines using Snowflake, dbt, and orchestration tools; implementing automated ingestion with Snowpipe or Matillion; developing tested, documented SQL models; establishing reusable engineering patterns; ensuring data quality through dbt tests and observability; and collaborating with the Enterprise Data Architect to align pipelines with enterprise standards.
- • Precision AQ is building a centralized Data Hub to transform raw healthcare data into governed, reliable assets for downstream analytics, product development, and client deliverables in the healthcare and life sciences sector.
- • The role offers significant autonomy and ownership, enabling the engineer to shape foundational data infrastructure, gain deep expertise in healthcare data complexity (ICD-10, NPI, NDC), and see direct impact as pipelines power analytics across the organization.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of professional data engineering experience, with at least 3 years in modern cloud data environments
- • 2+ years hands-on experience with Snowflake, including performance tuning, Snowpipe, and optimization patterns
- • 2+ years working with dbt (Core or Cloud) in production, including incremental models, testing, documentation, and package management
- • Demonstrated experience with healthcare data, including understanding of ICD-10, NPI, NDC codes and claims data quality challenges
- • Production experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow, Dagster, or similar, including building and maintaining reliable DAGs at scale
- • Strong SQL skills for writing efficient, readable, well-structured queries and debugging performance issues
- • Python proficiency for data processing, scripting, and pipeline automation
