- • As a Senior Data Engineer at HighLevel Inc., you will play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining the scalable data infrastructure that powers our AI-driven sales and marketing platform. With over 4 billion API hits and 2.5 billion message events processed daily, your work will directly impact the reliability, performance, and scalability of systems serving over 1 million businesses globally. You will help transform raw data into actionable insights that fuel growth for agencies, entrepreneurs, and enterprises.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities will include designing and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines using modern data tools, ensuring data quality and consistency across our five distributed databases totaling 470+ terabytes. You will collaborate closely with data scientists, analysts, and product teams to model data for analytics and machine learning use cases, while maintaining SLAs for latency and throughput in our microservices architecture.
- • You will be part of a global, remote-first engineering team of over 1,500 members across 15+ countries, where innovation, ownership, and technical excellence are valued. This role offers the opportunity to work on large-scale, real-time data systems that support mission-critical business functions like lead generation, customer engagement, and conversation intelligence.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in cloud-native data engineering, stream processing, and data governance while contributing to a platform that drives measurable impact—helping our users generate over 200 million leads and facilitate 20 million conversations monthly. You’ll grow as a technical leader by mentoring peers, influencing architecture decisions, and shaping the future of our data platform.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
- • 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and ETL/ELT pipeline development
- • Hands-on experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), including services like Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake, or Databricks
- • Proven ability to design and optimize scalable data models and pipelines for high-volume, real-time analytics
- • Experience with stream processing technologies (e.g., Kafka, Kinesis, Pulsar) and orchestration tools (Airflow, Dagster, or Prefect)
- • Strong understanding of data warehousing, data lakes, and data governance principles
