• • The core of your challenge will be to contribute to making our data platform genuinely reliable, a crucial aspect given that Yuno moves money across borders for companies where payment failures are not an option. The data platform is the single source of truth, providing visibility into our operations for our product teams, clients, and internal stakeholders. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining robust data pipelines that handle large volumes of sensitive payment data. The emphasis will be on performance, reliability, and absolute correctness, ensuring that our data is not just fast but also accurate and trustworthy.
• • You will own the end-to-end data flows within your domain. This encompasses everything from the initial ingestion of raw data, through complex transformations, to the final outputs that are critical for our Finance, Product, and client-facing teams. A significant part of your role will involve driving data quality across your areas of responsibility, implementing and utilizing appropriate tooling to ensure the integrity and accuracy of our data. This proactive approach to data quality is paramount in the financial services industry.
• • Collaboration is key at Yuno. You will work closely with Product Managers, Finance teams, and other Engineering teams, acting as a subject matter expert and enabler. This cross-functional engagement will involve understanding their data needs, translating them into technical solutions, and providing ongoing support through a 'consulting' style model. Your ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders will be highly valued.
• • As a senior member of the team, you will play a crucial role in shaping our engineering practices and culture. This includes contributing to our code review standards, CI/CD processes, Architectural Decision Records (ADRs), and incident management protocols. We are actively building these foundational practices, and your experience and insights will be vital in defining how we work and ensuring we maintain high standards as we scale.
• • Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to mentor and develop junior engineers. By sharing your knowledge, providing guidance, and fostering a collaborative learning environment, you will help onboard and level up engineers around you. • • The technical stack is modern and designed for high performance. You will work with StarRocks as our primary analytical layer, Apache Flink for real-time stream processing, dbt (data build tool) for data transformation, and Airflow for workflow orchestration. Various other tools will be utilized for surfacing insights and building dashboards. Your hands-on experience with these technologies, or comparable ones, will be essential for success in this role.
