• • As a Senior Data Engineer specializing in Snowflake at Exadel, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable data pipelines that drive critical business insights for a leading U.S.-based education services provider. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of data infrastructure for an organization dedicated to serving military personnel, veterans, and public service communities through online and campus-based post-secondary education.
• • You will be at the forefront of implementing and optimizing data solutions, working with cutting-edge technologies such as Snowflake, Coalesce.io, Airbyte, and SQL Server/SSIS, with supplementary use of Azure Data Factory. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the seamless flow and integrity of data across various platforms, including learning management systems, student enrollment, and academic operations.
• • A core responsibility will be the construction and meticulous maintenance of dimensional data models. This ensures that the data is not only high-quality but also structured optimally for sophisticated analytics and comprehensive reporting, enabling stakeholders to make informed decisions.
• • You will play a key role in implementing the Medallion architecture within Snowflake, expertly managing the bronze, silver, and gold layers. This structured approach is fundamental to building a reliable and efficient data lakehouse, enhancing data governance and accessibility.
• • Collaboration is central to this role. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, leveraging Agile methodologies and tools like Jira for efficient task tracking and GitHub for version control and code management. This ensures transparency, agility, and effective project execution.
• • Your responsibilities extend to ensuring the reliability and performance of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, complex data transformations, and intricate data integration workflows. This involves troubleshooting, optimizing, and ensuring the accuracy of data as it moves through the system.
• • You will actively contribute to the continuous improvement of data modeling practices within the organization. This includes identifying and addressing weaknesses in existing dimensional models, thereby elevating the overall data strategy and its effectiveness.
