📋 Description
- • As the founding engineer of the Data Intelligence team at Deepgram, you will build the nervous system that enables AI agents to autonomously navigate and act on company data, directly supporting the company's mission to power the Voice AI economy.
- • Day to day, you will design and maintain high-fidelity dbt and SQL models for revenue analytics, develop tools for AI agents to query data sources like Salesforce and Athena, collaborate with engineering to ensure data contracts are agent-ready, and lead the 'Unlock Audio Intelligence' project by transforming internal audio into actionable insights using Deepgram’s own speech-to-text models.
- • You will join a fast-moving, AI-first organization where experimentation, rapid adaptation, and continuous learning are expected, and where your work will directly impact how AI drives business decisions and operational efficiency across the company.
- • In this role, you will gain deep expertise in building semantic layers for AI agents, mastering the intersection of data engineering and agentic systems, and shaping the foundation of how AI interacts with structured data in a high-growth, innovative AI company.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of experience in high-growth Data or AI Engineering roles
- • Mastery of SQL and Python (production-grade) with proven experience building RAG or Agentic systems on structured data
- • Familiarity with usage-based SaaS metrics including consumption patterns, gross margins, and Net Revenue Retention (NRR)
- • Comfort working with evolving infrastructure and turning messy, siloed data into high-impact business logic
