- • The Senior Data Modeler designs and evolves high-quality data models across Credit Acceptance Corporation’s modern data platform, combining hands-on modeling expertise with growing involvement in AI-forward data practices such as semantic layers, enriched metadata, and structured data descriptions that enable AI systems to work with enterprise data effectively.
- • Day to day, the role involves designing and maintaining logical and physical data models (dimensional and relational) in a Databricks lakehouse environment, applying Kimball star schema and normalized modeling best practices, translating business requirements into well-documented data structures, and ensuring models account for the full data lifecycle from systems of record through integration layers to downstream consumers.
- • The role operates within the Engineering and Analytics team, which values innovation, collaboration, and work-life balance, and partners with all business functions to support strategic decision-making using the latest technology in a Great Place to Work culture.
- • The person in this role can grow into increasing ownership of semantic and AI-ready data design, contribute to metadata and business glossary development, help refine enterprise data modeling standards, and gain exposure to AI-assisted tooling for metadata generation while working on impactful analytics and AI use cases across the enterprise.
