- • As a Senior Data Platform Engineer specializing in Python and AWS, you will play a pivotal role in designing and maintaining the enterprise data infrastructure that powers critical financial operations for a leading U.S. mortgage services company, directly enabling pricing analytics, trading systems, hedging models, and pooling operations through scalable, reliable data solutions.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities will include architecting and maintaining Python applications using Object-Oriented Programming and enterprise design patterns; building RESTful APIs and microservices with FastAPI or Flask; leveraging Pandas, NumPy, SQLAlchemy, and PySpark for advanced data processing; implementing serverless and event-driven solutions using AWS Lambda, Glue, Step Functions, S3, EventBridge, and Kinesis; managing infrastructure-as-code via CloudFormation, CDK, or Terraform; deploying and orchestrating containerized services with Docker, ECS, or Kubernetes; designing scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Airflow, Prefect, or AWS Step Functions; constructing real-time and batch processing systems; and establishing CI/CD workflows with automated testing (pytest) and rigorous data validation to ensure data quality and system reliability.
- • You will be part of TrueLogic’s elite team of 600+ highly skilled technology professionals based across Latin America, partnering with U.S. enterprises to deliver transformative digital solutions; this role places you at the forefront of supporting a prestigious, publicly traded financial services client whose end-to-end platform touches loan origination, servicing, and investment management — giving you exposure to high-stakes, mission-critical financial data systems.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in modern data platform engineering, gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge AWS data services and Python-based ecosystem tools, and contribute to systems that directly influence business-critical financial decisions — positioning you as a trusted technical leader in data infrastructure with opportunities to shape architecture, mentor peers, and drive innovation in a high-impact, remote-first environment.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of software development experience with at least 4 years of dedicated production Python programming, including proficiency in asynchronous programming paradigms.
- • 3+ years of hands-on experience with data-centric AWS services such as Lambda, Glue, Step Functions, S3, EventBridge, and Kinesis.
- • Strong architectural knowledge of ETL/ELT patterns and modern data engineering principles, with proven ability to design scalable, maintainable data pipelines.
- • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders, including business analysts and project managers.
- • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (CloudFormation, CDK, Terraform) and container orchestration platforms (Docker, ECS, Kubernetes).
- • Proficiency in Python data libraries including Pandas, NumPy, SQLAlchemy, and PySpark for large-scale data transformation and analysis.
