- • Senior Data Scientist role leading Unity’s Ads Experimentation Platform team to evolve validation and optimization of the global advertising ecosystem, ensuring rapid iteration on ML models and ads delivery pipelines for growth.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include advancing A/B testing efficiency with variance reduction and sequential testing, scaling ranking evaluations via interleaving frameworks, reducing budget cannibalization effects through pacing-aware techniques, defining LTV proxy metrics, driving automated ML experimentation pipelines, and providing cross-functional technical leadership as the experimentation expert for ML, Product, and Engineering teams.
- • Join a high-velocity innovation team focused on moving beyond standard A/B testing into next-generation causal inference and high-sensitivity evaluation methodologies, working within Unity’s Ads Experimentation Platform team that supports billions of ad impressions across devices.
- • Opportunity to build statistical foundations for automated ML pipelines, mentor teams on experimental rigor, translate complex statistical concepts into product roadmaps, and directly impact the integrity and performance of Unity’s global advertising marketplace.
🎯 Requirements
- • 8+ years of experience in Data Science or Applied Research within Ad Tech, Marketplaces, or high-scale experimentation platforms.
- • MS or PhD in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or Operations Research.
- • Deep expertise in causal inference, experimental design, and frequentist/Bayesian statistics with proven application to high-volume, real-time data.
- • Strong programming skills in Python or Scala and experience with large-scale data processing frameworks like Spark, Snowflake, or BigQuery.
- • Practical experience implementing advanced testing methodologies such as CUPED, interleaving, or switchback testing in production environments.
- • Ability to translate complex statistical concepts into clear product roadmaps and mentor engineering teams on experimental rigor.
