- • Embed within one of Jerry’s core business units — Growth Marketing, Product Development, AI & Automation, or Strategic Partnerships — to own the end-to-end analytical function for that domain.
- • Define the right business questions before initiating analysis, pushing back on flawed or misaligned problems to ensure focus on high-impact initiatives.
- • Design, build, and maintain metrics, reports, and dashboards using SQL (ClickHouse) and Metabase to track and monitor key business outcomes.
- • Conduct independent data extraction, cleaning, structuring, and interpretation to surface actionable insights without reliance on engineering or data infrastructure teams.
- • Design and execute experiments (A/B tests, causal analyses) to evaluate product changes, marketing campaigns, or operational improvements.
- • Translate complex analytical findings into clear, persuasive recommendations for stakeholders in product, growth, finance, and operations teams.
- • Drive decision-making by presenting insights directly to leadership, ensuring alignment on next steps and ownership of outcomes.
- • Own the execution of analytical initiatives from hypothesis formulation through implementation and impact measurement — no purely strategic or advisory roles.
- • Collaborate cross-functionally to identify data gaps, improve data quality, and align on KPIs that directly influence business trajectory.
- • Use Python and Jupyter Hub to develop custom analyses, automate reporting, and build models that enhance decision-making speed and accuracy.
- • Operate with a first-principles mindset: break down ambiguous problems into testable hypotheses before writing a single line of code or query.
- • Act as an owner: take responsibility for issues outside your formal scope if they impact your team’s goals, regardless of organizational boundaries.
- • Communicate directly and precisely — avoid jargon, burying the lede, or excessive slides; prioritize clarity and speed in conveying insights.
- • Contribute to scaling Jerry from 5M to 50M customers by identifying new growth levers, optimizing customer acquisition, improving retention, and enabling automation.
- • Work in a no-fluff environment where every task must materially move the needle — no unnecessary meetings, approvals, or corporate overhead.
- • Be part of a 14-person Data Science & Analytics team composed of former McKinsey, BCG, and Bain consultants who prioritize impact over process.
- • Support Jerry’s expansion into new verticals including home, motorcycle, and RV ownership by applying proven analytical frameworks to adjacent markets.
- • Leverage GitHub for version control and collaboration on analytical code and pipelines.
🎯 Requirements
- • 4+ years of experience at a consulting firm, investment bank, or high-growth technology company
- • Strong analytical skills with independent ability to pull, structure, and interpret data using SQL and Python
- • Proven track record of owning ambiguous problems and delivering measurable business impact
- • Clear, persuasive communication skills with ability to influence leadership-level decisions
- • Experience driving end-to-end analytical projects from hypothesis to execution and outcome measurement
- • Comfort working in fast-paced, high-autonomy environments with minimal bureaucracy
