📋 Description

• As a Senior Data Scientist at Rundoo, you will own the end-to-end data science function, turning ambiguous business questions into actionable insights and reproducible systems that empower independent supply stores to modernize and thrive.
• Day to day, you will deliver high-trust analysis on clear timelines, translate vague business problems into defined scopes and data contracts, build lightweight internal decision systems, partner with GTM teams to turn analysis into action, proactively surface anomalies and opportunities, and support fundraising readiness with reliable data reporting.
• Rundoo is a fast-growing, remote-first company backed by Bessemer and CRV, on a mission to empower over 200,000 independent hardware and building material stores with modern technology, helping them compete in a $1T annual market still reliant on outdated systems.
• In this role, you will develop deep expertise in cross-functional collaboration, production-grade analytics, and internal tooling, while shaping data-driven decision-making across GTM, product, and finance — gaining visibility and impact at the executive level in a high-trust, autonomous environment.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data science, analytics, applied ML or MLE in a high-growth environment
• Strong applied analytics / data science foundation (statistics, experimentation, causal thinking, forecasting, etc.)
• Demonstrated ability to scope ambiguous problems and drive to decisions with stakeholders
• Comfort writing production-quality code (especially Python) and building maintainable internal systems
• Excellent communication: can explain tradeoffs, assumptions, and recommendations to non-technical audiences
• High ownership and autonomy in a fast-paced environment; can operate without a lot of process
