- • Senior Data Scientist role focused on maximizing advertiser value through data-driven insights, machine learning, and strategic experimentation on Reddit’s advertising platform.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and applying data science solutions, analyzing large-scale datasets, developing ML models for prediction and anomaly detection, collaborating with product and engineering teams, communicating findings to stakeholders, staying current with ML advancements, and mentoring junior data scientists.
- • Part of the Ads Data Science team at Reddit, a highly collaborative group passionate about leveraging data to improve ads performance, measurement, and advertiser growth within a community-centric platform.
- • Opportunity to drive significant impact on Reddit’s ads business, deepen expertise in causal inference and A/B testing, contribute to open-source or publications, and grow as a technical leader in a remote-friendly, innovative environment.
🎯 Requirements
- • Advanced degree (Masters or Ph.D.) in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, or Operations Research
- • For M.S. holders: 5+ years of industry experience in applied science or data science roles; for Ph.D. holders: 4+ years
- • Strong understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, causal inference, and experimental design
- • Experience with large-scale data processing using Spark, Hadoop, or Hive; knowledge of BigQuery a plus
- • Proficiency in Python or R and experience with ML libraries such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch
- • Experience with SQL and relational databases
- • Excellent communication and presentation skills
- • Passion for Reddit and the online advertising industry
