📋 Description

• As a Senior Data Scientist on Reddit's Consumer team, you will play a significant role in driving the success of key product areas by defining product strategy through measurement, metrics design, experimentation, and causal analysis.
• Day to day, you will develop action-oriented insights from observational causal analysis and experiment meta-analysis, uplevel experimentation practices, create ETLs and self-serve tools, design team-level KPIs, engage with stakeholders, and mentor junior data scientists.
• You will join a growing Data Science team at Reddit, partnering with cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, Design, Marketing, and Business Development to drive user and revenue growth.
• In this role, you will deepen your expertise in causal inference and experimentation, lead high-impact analyses that influence C-suite decisions, and strengthen your ability to communicate complex data stories to technical and non-technical audiences while mentoring others.

🎯 Requirements

• Advanced degree (Masters or Ph.D.) in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, or Operations Research
• For M.S. holders: 5+ years of industry experience in applied science or data science roles; for Ph.D. holders: 4+ years of industry experience
• Expertise in querying relational databases (SQL) and programming languages (e.g., R / Python)
• Deep understanding of online experimentation (A/B testing), causal inference, and statistical techniques
• Strong technical communication / data storytelling skills with ability to discuss complex topics with technical and non-technical audiences
• Comfortable in innovative and fast-paced environments with a bias toward action
