📋 Description
- • Shape the future of open-banking security as the first Senior Data Scientist in a well-funded, green-field fintech start-up. You will design the core risk engine that decides which banks and fintech apps can safely connect, turning raw transactional data into a transparent 0-100 risk score used by thousands of developers.
- • Own end-to-end development of the DARS (Data Access Risk Score) algorithm—from exploratory analysis on terabytes of PSD2 data to production-grade Python/R pipelines on Databricks—ensuring every coefficient can be explained to regulators and partners alike.
- • Build fraud-detection models that spot synthetic identities, account-take-over attempts and money-mule networks in milliseconds; design anomaly-detection layers that adapt daily as new attack vectors emerge.
- • Create robust validation frameworks: back-testing, stress-testing, drift monitoring and challenger models that satisfy Basel, COSO and emerging EU open-finance guidelines; document everything for future audits.
- • Establish MLOps best-practice in a cloud-native stack (MLflow, Spark, AWS or Azure) while mentoring junior data scientists and setting coding, testing and peer-review standards for the growing data chapter.
- • Translate complex statistical findings into clear visual stories for product managers, compliance officers and external bank clients; build automated Tableau/Plotly dashboards that surface live risk KPIs.
- • Run A/B and quasi-experiments to measure the business impact of every model release; iterate rapidly in two-week sprints while maintaining strict governance and reproducibility.
- • Collaborate daily with back-end engineers to embed models behind low-latency REST endpoints; work with DevOps to roll out canary releases and real-time shadow testing.
- • Influence the product roadmap by quantifying risk-vs-reward trade-offs for new open-banking use cases such as VRP (Variable Recurring Payments) and embedded lending.
