📋 Description

• • Develop and deploy proprietary machine learning models to enhance underwriting, pricing, and customer management decisions for Lendable’s UK credit cards business.
• • Work with large-scale, high-dimensional datasets to generate actionable insights that directly influence credit strategy, growth, risk, and profitability.
• • Take end-to-end ownership of machine learning models, from research and development through production deployment, monitoring, and continuous iteration.
• • Collaborate closely with product, engineering, credit risk, and commercial teams to translate ambiguous business problems into measurable quantitative frameworks.
• • Build and optimize models using state-of-the-art machine learning techniques applied to behavioral and transactional data sources unique to the fintech lending space.
• • Influence strategic decisions by communicating data-driven recommendations to non-technical stakeholders across the organization.
• • Experiment rigorously through A/B testing and statistical analysis to validate model performance and business impact.
• • Contribute to the team’s technical knowledge base by sharing findings, conducting research, and promoting best practices in applied machine learning.
• • Monitor model performance in production, identify degradation or drift, and implement improvements to maintain accuracy and business relevance.
• • Engage in cross-functional initiatives to integrate new data sources, refine feature engineering pipelines, and align modeling outputs with commercial objectives.

• • Participate in the full lifecycle of decision systems, including model documentation, validation, compliance alignment, and operational handoff to engineering.
• • Work autonomously within a small, high-performing team while maintaining alignment with broader company goals and product roadmaps.

• • Contribute to the scaling of Lendable’s technology stack as the company expands into new markets, starting with the UK and progressing to the US.
• • Maintain a strong focus on ethical data use, model fairness, and regulatory considerations within the financial services domain.
• • Regularly communicate progress, risks, and insights to team leads and stakeholders through clear, structured reporting and presentations.
• • Actively participate in internal knowledge-sharing sessions, code reviews, and technical discussions to elevate team-wide capabilities.
• • Leverage Python and SQL daily to extract, transform, analyze, and model data from internal and external sources across millions of customer records.
