We are building the next generation of intelligence infrastructure and interfaces designed to seamlessly capture, extract, and utilize insights from spoken words, auditory cues, visual information, and cognitive thought processes. As a Delaware-incorporated, San Francisco-based company, Plaud is uniquely positioned at the intersection of hardware and software innovation, pushing the boundaries of human-AI interaction. Our commitment to data security and privacy is paramount, underscored by our adherence to stringent global standards including ISO 27001, ISO 27701, GDPR, SOC 2, HIPAA, and EN 18031 compliance.
  • • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Database Administrator to join our dynamic team in San Francisco. In this critical role, you will be instrumental in managing and scaling the robust database infrastructure that powers our cutting-edge AI products. Your expertise will ensure the high availability, integrity, and optimal performance of our data systems, which are the backbone of Plaud's innovative solutions. This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to a rapidly growing, profitable company that is defining the future of human-AI interaction and global expansion.
  • • As a Senior Database Administrator, your core responsibilities will encompass the end-to-end management of our database environments. You will be tasked with designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable database solutions that can support the exponential growth of our user base and the increasing complexity of our AI models. A significant part of your role will involve ensuring the highest levels of data availability and integrity, implementing robust monitoring systems, and proactively identifying and resolving potential issues before they impact our users. You will also play a key role in performance tuning and storage optimization, ensuring our databases operate with maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • • Furthermore, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies. This includes establishing clear protocols, conducting regular testing, and ensuring that our data can be restored quickly and reliably in the event of any unforeseen circumstances. Collaboration is key at Plaud, and you will work closely with our engineering teams to influence and contribute to data architecture decisions. This partnership will ensure that our database designs are aligned with product roadmaps, scalability requirements, and best practices in data management. Your insights will be invaluable in shaping how we store, process, and leverage data to drive our AI innovations.
  • • The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of database internals, strong SQL proficiency, and extensive experience with cloud-based database technologies. You should be adept at automating routine tasks and possess a proven track record in implementing and managing backup, recovery, and high availability solutions. This role offers a unique chance to work with state-of-the-art AI technologies, contribute to a product loved by millions, and grow your career within a culture that champions innovation, collaboration, and rapid professional development. Join us in building the future of intelligence.
