- • Trility Consulting is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior DBT Consultant to join our dynamic, remote-first team. As a Great Place to Work® Certified company, we foster a culture of growth, collaboration, and mutual support, empowering our employees to thrive regardless of their geographical location. We pride ourselves on our ability to serve clients across the United States and globally, driven by a team that embodies grit, adaptability, and a relentless commitment to delivering exceptional value. If you are a self-motivated individual who thrives on solving complex data challenges, values over-communication, and is passionate about building robust, scalable data solutions, this opportunity is for you.
- • In this critical role, you will be instrumental in transforming existing data infrastructures into reliable, analytics-ready datasets. Your primary focus will be on refining, structuring, and optimizing data to power essential business intelligence, critical reporting, and Service Level Agreement (SLA) monitoring. This is a hands-on position where you will leverage your deep expertise in SQL and DBT (Data Build Tool) to architect and implement sophisticated data models.
- • You will be working with an established data environment, meaning the foundational data already exists. Your challenge and opportunity lie in making this data clean, well-structured, performant, and trustworthy. This involves a meticulous approach to data quality, ensuring that the datasets produced are accurate, consistent, and readily usable by analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders.
- • The Senior DBT Consultant will be responsible for taking complex SQL queries and refactoring them into elegant, modular, and maintainable transformations. You will be building scalable dbt models that adhere to best practices, ensuring that other data engineers can confidently understand, extend, and maintain the codebase. This requires a strong understanding of data modeling principles, software engineering best practices, and the ability to write efficient, optimized SQL.
- • Key responsibilities will include designing and implementing dbt projects, developing robust data pipelines, and ensuring the integrity and reliability of the data warehouse. You will collaborate closely with clients and internal teams to understand their data needs, translate business requirements into technical solutions, and provide expert guidance on data strategy and implementation.
- • This role demands a proactive individual who is not afraid to dive deep into existing data structures, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions that drive significant business impact. You will be a key player in ensuring our clients can make data-driven decisions with confidence, relying on the high-quality, accessible data you help to create.
- • We are looking for someone who possesses a strong analytical mindset, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a proven track record of successfully delivering data transformation projects. Your ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences will be crucial. You will contribute to the continuous improvement of our data practices and methodologies, staying abreast of the latest trends and technologies in the data engineering space.
- • This is a remote 1099 position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within the United States. You will be an integral part of a collaborative and supportive remote work environment, contributing to projects that have a tangible impact on our clients' success. If you are passionate about data, driven by challenges, and eager to make a significant contribution, we encourage you to apply.
🎯 Requirements
- • Extensive experience with SQL, including complex query writing, optimization, and performance tuning.
- • Proven expertise in using DBT (Data Build Tool) for data modeling, transformation, and pipeline orchestration.
- • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modeling techniques (e.g., Kimball, Inmon), and ETL/ELT processes.
- • Experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.
- • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail and data quality.
- • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Fully remote 1099 contract position with flexibility to work from anywhere in the United States.
- • Opportunity to work with a Great Place to Work® Certified company known for its strong remote culture.
